FtVS cast info

With the number of reports coming out, I do believe that we will see Faith next season as the Vampire Slayer of record. In addition, there will be fewer Scoobies than we would expect making the move to the new show. The one question mark I had was Spike, and where he would fit in with the new show. You certainly would be limited in the relationship that could develop between these two. The Caleb casting information leads me to believe that the character is being lined up for the spin-off.

Currently, I see the new cast consisting of the following characters.

Faith
Caleb
Willow
Kennedy
Andrew

I know that I've mentioned that it seems Caleb is a threat more than an ally, but then again most of the male leads have followed the same path (or at least had a dark secret that they needed to deal with). With the exception of Kennedy, all of the characters will have had a brush with darkness in the past.

The show will be significantly different in terms of look and feel compared to 'Buffy'. It's my belief that it's going to take on a more action-orientated and darker tone. Think more 'Dark Angel', with maybe a bit of 'Alias' thrown into the mix. Part of the tone is going to be determined by the nature of the characters themselves. I also think that the show won't be as tied to a single location, perhaps even taking on a more international flavor.

Given that, it doesn't mean that some of the former Scoobies won't still be around or stop by for a visit. I also wouldn't rule out Wood taking on a role similar to Giles, or even one or more of the SIT's also moving to the new show (my money would be on Rona and Molly).

BTW: Caleb is a new character introduced in ep 18 or 19.

Where will the others go?
 
no offense to faith and willow, but that's a pretty wack cast.

well i can't have any opinion on caleb yet, obviously, except that his name is stupid.. but no xander and anya? =(
 
i don't think they should go down the Dark Angel path....Dark Angel got canceled in 2 seasons....and the supporting characters sucked....

as much as i lust after Eliza...Jenifer Garner from Alias is hotter....and the budget for Alias is 2 times what buffy is now....

willow ok as support...kennedy to...but falkin Andrew???....he has no charisma...falkin stake him before this season is over....

i thought this Faith show would be ill...but as the picture clears...it gets gayer and gayer....
 
It sounds a little too dark to me, we allready have Angel for that!
 
ok is it true, is it really going to happen, i have been hoping for ever sonce i found out SMG was leaving, i have been hoping, i love the girl and she so deserves her own show, so is it true. i need a definate confirmation before i get all excited. Is it true. With Faith have her own show?

As for the turn the show will take, i have over the years doubted Joss, but no longer do i do that, it turnsout to be a waste of time, he is a genious (sp?) and he will make it work. i will also be glad tosee willows character continue.
 
hmmm....as much as i like willow's character, i think it's time for her to move on with the others....okay, so so far we got:

faith - slayer with a past (and i mean past)
caleb - we know he's a pretty dark character...
andrew - has been on the dark side...otherwise, cuddly comic relief there...
kennedy - tough chic with attitude

hmmm....we need someone who is sarcastic (like xander or anya) 🙂

of course there's no Anya....even if SMG signs for another season of BtVS there will be no Anya....Emma has said countless times that she is not coming back after this season, no matter what....
 
If the character lineup is like that, without Dawn, or Spike, or even Xander, there is no way i would watch it. Plus, I HATE Kenndey
 
Sorry but that lineup, besides Willow and Faith is quite possibly the WORST cast a show could ever have and, trust me, there are some pretty bad shows out there.

If Faith's new show takes on an ALIAS type, the budget will need to be much higher, seeing as how ALIAS is only in it's second season and already has more money to use than Buffy, which is in it's 7th.

OT: Soulgasm -- "i thought this Faith show would be ill...but as the picture clears...it gets gayer and gayer...." Please, don't use 'gay' as a word to describe 'bad', it annoys me. Thanks muchos! 😉

1) If you are a fan, you are obligated to watch.
2) Kennedy is cool, cute, hot, loveable and much more.

and it isn't a final ... you could at least give it a try!

Your right Allycat, i WILL give it a try, (if it happens) but if i dont like it, you cant say i didnt try!
 
I actually like the cast. Well, caleb i can't say but the rest of the cast I like. I really want Willow/Kennedy on the show. Other than that I really don't care whos on. Well, maybe Xander for the comic part but I don't see where he would fit in.
 
We'll have Andrew (who's funnier to me) to replace him!

And YEAH! for the Willow/Kennedy part!
 
ok so far i know there has always been someone in the cast who i didn't like, but Andrew, i really don't like him. Why must he stay. :-(
