Eh... get him outta the way! He's only a small um.. distraction for Buffy. lol! If they did kill the other it would only be in a moment of passion.

It's definitely an interesting question, but I still think that they are better as enemies than as a couple..I just can't see it working out...

i think that faith's feelings for her were really deep. But Buffy just didn't see them, or she refused to.

lol yeh i know...Buffy wanted her!...but im more of a Fangel/Spaith Fan...than a Baith fan lol.
In the DVD box set for season three, writer Doug Petrie states as much in the commentary portion of Bad Girls.
Next, when Buffy is all excited in biology/chem class and can't stop GUSHING about Faith, making poor Xander's eye twitch (when he still had both) and making Willow nervous is a pretty good sign of someone crushin big time.
And in End of Days, Buffy, in a way, tells us she was aware of it herself, if somewhat confused, by telling Spike
"Look, I am tired of defensiveness and weird, mixed signals. You know, I have Faith for that. Let's just get to the truth here..."
That was when Buffy & Spike were admitting how they felt about spending the night with each other the evening before. Love context. I was thrilled, as were a lot of other faithful fuffy subtexters, that Joss & Co, in a brief yet satisfying moment, did not forget or let that 'relationship' fall to the wayside with not even a mention of the subtext in season 3 & 4, plus the crossover on Angel.
It came out of the blue and it was great.
That tells that it wasnt just faith pushin the sexual tension...Buffy also wanted it too...but she just didnt want to admit it

For some reason, its my all time fave ship. I'm not sure why but...all that subtext. i think it has a lot of potential...there's a lotta good fics. some of the best ones have unhappy endings as well. it depends how it's done.
The angst possibilities with the whole slayer thing, its different from the vamp relationships. An opposite but not opposite attraction. There's a lotta similarities between Faith and Buffy, more so than those between Buffy and Angel or Spike, but there's also quite a few differences.
Each is in a way what the other wants to be. Buffy wants to let loose and feel free to not have the responsibilities, Faith wants to be loved, to have friends. If Buffy had been the one with Faith's past she'd be more like faith and vice versa, if ya get what i mean. they wouldn't be exactly the same or anything, but they'd def. appear to be more similar than this way.
I think if it's done right it could be great, but if it isn't then its...there are worse pairings. might even be some better ones. i dunno. faith/piper twasn't too bad. more of a f/b person tho. not sure if i answered right, and i'd try to more, but getting kicked off so...
