Few hours ago... candle lighter ran out of fluid. So am twisting tissue round small screwdriver & touching stove burner to light candles.

I had a random thought...the First plaguing Anya with millions of dead bunnies in season 7...

It just occurs to me to compare/contrast the First with Armus (ST: NG s1: Skin of Evil), and having thought of Lower Decks recently, I just remembered this scene:


Thinking that I'd take part in this if I was fresh out of the Academy, very early 20s, made it more fun for me. (There's another scene, I can't remember that much save one was being transferred to the Titan which angered one of the other Ensigns, who was threatening over comms to find him and feed him to Armus. In the background you can hear one shouting at the ranting Ensign, "Shut up, psycho, we're trying to sleep!")
 
I'm reading a Dilbert comic now. I wasn't able to find a copy of the comics I wanted to share (save the ones frowned upon by the mods), so I'll just have to share one. (One makes me laugh, but I think only a fan of bad poetry, as in going to bad poetry contests, would enjoy it, so skipping that one as well.) It's something I could see happening in Sunnydale. (Though I am well aware of the pun-like humor of "chickens" here as well, another reason I liked it.)

"Welcome to another meeting of the Skeptics Society. Tonight we will use scientific methods to debunk Edna Griffin's claim that she can turn an audience into a flock of chickens. We'll need some volunteers."

"Motion to adjourn." "Whoa, look at the time!" (Audience preparing to flee in panic-mode.)
 
Someone saw a vid about new lore on how Yoda's Force ghost visited Palpatine before the final battle in Return of the Jedi. There was an argument over if it was compatible with the old lore or not, and someone added in that maybe there was more that wasn't shared of that meeting...This is that part shared with me:

Palpatine: “Master Yoda. What a pleasant surprise!”

Yoda: “Missed you, I did.”

Palpatine: “You look a lighter than I remember. Are you well? I have the best doctors…”

Yoda: “Lost a lot weight, I did…”

Palpatine: “And the boy?”

Yoda: “Made fun of my home, he did!”

Palpatine: “Oh? I will teach him to respect his elders then. What would you suggest?”

Yoda: “Force Lightning. About it, I told him not.”

Palpatine: “Goood…”
