I honestly heard this on a documentary the other night, that Vlad the Impaler, (sometimes known as Dracula) was often referred to as a heinous murderer. Yeah honestly, as if. . . . tee hee.
It was not that he killed a lot of people nor that he liked what he did to them but because he played the bagpipes from the top of one of the tops of a tower at his castle in the dark of the night.
That part of the night when the darkness had most meaning for him, it is true that many people would kill themselves because of the wailing of his bagpipes.
Some it is said dreaded the wailing of those bagpipes in the dark of the night.
What was probably true was that Vlad had a sick sense of humour, you know him laughing like crazee whenever he shoved a long spike up the victims um er . . 'thingy'.
