Er... season 4? I have no idea, honestly. All the seasons have their funny moments. 🙂

s6!!! Just kidding, although Life Serial and Tabula Rasa are dam funny.

It's kind of hard to pick one season in particular though, because what Buffy does best is manage to be comedic while dealing with very serious issues. I was going through the list of episode just to refresh my mind and every season has at leasts one or two comedic episode that is just pure gold.

I think s3 might have the best selection of funny episodes though, with Oz having some of the best lines. Plus the Mayor is such a charismatic villain. Aside from that, honestly all of the seasons are pretty close together for me when it comes to comedy, even s6.

All of the seasons have their funny moments, some more than others. I picked season 4 because I think as a whole it's a lighter season. We got Pangs and Something Blue which were good comedic episodes. And there was a lot of good humor even in some of the bad episodes. With Spike added to the cast it just amps up the comedy.

season 4 actually for me. I can't remember anything specific other than remembering myself specifically thinking a few times during the season that it was damn funny. Like, it dawned on me that it was even funnier than ordinary.

And yes, I think that season had Spike at his best (and funniest actually) even though he was only in about half the season (or maybe even less).

Agree with most here, season 4 is the first one that comes to mind.
I've always thought that Anya in particular was brilliantly funny in season 4.

But it's not an easy choice. The show is very funny in general. That's why I love it. 🙂

S4. It's got a lot of great comedy episodes and almost no real angst to speak of.

I find S3 and 5 and 7 have better/funnier comedic episodes ('Band Candy', 'Triangle', 'Storyteller') but they're one-offs in what are very dramatic seasons.

S4 has several solid comedy episodes, and even great comedy amongst the scarier ones ('Fear Itself' and 'Hush' for example).

Oh, I have no idea. Season 1 is pretty funny, I think? But I won't vote until I've decided. I guess there are some really funny moments in every season.
I think season 4 might be the funniest. Doesn't Spike live at Giles' place in seaosn 4? "What are you gonna do? Lick me to death?!" LMAO!! 😀

Season 4. The comedy episodes were done really well, and the others contains some really great comedic moments (like the ending of Fear, Itself, Giles' presentation in Hush ;D ) Spike also has some really funny moments 🙂

Tie between S1 and S4 for me.

S1 introduced the humor, which I wasn't expecting at all when I initially saw the series, so I loved that. I still find all the old banter between Buffy, Xander and Giles to be gold. And Willow back when she was still Willow...

S4 is hysterical, but only because of Spike. In a very, very lackluster season, he saves it. And "Pangs" is one of the most low-key hilarious episodes of the series.

I love Spike in season four and he's certainly that years MVP for comedy if nothing else,but I also think Giles was hilarious as well as Oz. 🙂

Season 4. Although I think this season had one of the weaker main arcs, its humor and the strength of the stand alone episodes really saves it.

Not all of the humor was intentional though, like Adam and his Doomsday Floppy Discs.

Season 4. There's Something Blue, New Man, and Pangs. Spike & Xander have some great moments and Anya is just brilliantly funny all the time. All seasons are funny, but season 4 (which, frankly, isn't winning many other awards despite its great stand alone episodes) is my pick for funniest.

Although I don't love it as much as the other seasons mostly because ugh Riley, I think season 4 overall was the funniest... If only for Something Blue alone. And generally it was the lightest season. Also comedically Anya and Spike shown in season 4. And runner up would be season 6... but soley for the Trio scenes 🙂

It depends what makes you laugh the most, forgetting the normal humour I enjoy watching the errors that were made of the actual filming. When Buffy comes out of Flutie's office so many errors of continuation are made that I found it hilarious, there's at least a dozen in that scene.

Season 4 gets my vote. Spike was hilarious oh and don't forget drunk Giles 😀

I think they are all pretty funny, but season seven makes me laugh hysterically. Andrew, Spike and just some general moments get me every time. Plus I always remember those scenes.
