Most of us had them. Funny, sometimes silly dates. I'm sure there are some interestingly funny date stories. Do tell!

My story isn't really a story, just a funny side of a date.
I went out on a date when I was 15. I was new at school. I didn't know other students' names. When it was almost the end of the school year, I got asked out by a guy who used to be with me in one of the classes. I've seen him before of course. But didn't know his name. That's how it came to be, that I went out on a date with him - to a movie where we were the only 2 in the movie theater (because it's a small local theater) - without knowing what his name was. We spent a little time together at school afterwards, but because it was the end of the year, I didn't get to ask him what his name was. It was too late anyway (and awkward!). I think I know what his name was because I saw it on some sheet, but I'm not positive it was his.

This was a story about the overall exciting relationship I had lol. Not really a date story except for the actual date without knowing the guy's name part. But the idea of the thread is to tell date stories, funny date stories.

I remember the one which was really silly. I tell it pretty often.
I met the guy online, we're written like a month and we decided to meet up.
He was ok by look and everything. I asked him "Where are we going?" and he said "What would you say to go to Tesco? I need some tea". I said "okay" so we went to Tesco. He asked what tea do I like, I said that I don't have my type, I just drink tea which is at home. He spent 5 minutes on choosing the tea. Finally, he chose and we left Tesco.
Then he said "I want to buy some vanilla". We went to Pakistan shop at which I was for the first time.

We were walking on the streets for like an hour. I was talking, mostly. He said weird stuff like he didn't smoke weed from 5 years or he bought socks to hig father for Christmas.
On the end of the date I kissed him on a cheek. He was pretty surprised. And then he said to me "Merry Christmas" (it was around 20th December). I've started laughing as crazy and left him without saying a word.

He wrote to me the same day that he hopes that he wasn't too confident. I said no and asked him how is his vanilla 😀 It was ours last conversation.

When driving home a date in high school we were starting to really talk we were having agood conversation or so I thought until she said "this is a stop sign, not a light." I had been so into our conversation I didnt realize I had been just sitting at a stop sign with no traffic.

Oh wow, I've been on so many weird dates I don't really know where to start. One in particular that comes to mind was when I was working at a bar there was a guy that only worked Friday nights (I was full time) and one Friday night was a particularly messy night. By 6pm there were guys vomitting into the Hoegaarden pint glasses and the glasses were overflowing. Gross.

Generally the clean up of that kind of thing was left to the boy that was on glassy but there was only one guy (we shall call him Ryan) that was on glassy this night as we were understaffed. So I told security to kick the vomitting boys out, who told the manager who asked me to clean it up. Gross.

So at the end of the night Ryan said thank you to me for cleaning up the vomit and that he really appreciated me not being a prissy girl about it and just sucking it up and doing it and told me that he wanted to take me out on a date to say thank you.

Ryan picked me up the following week and took me out to a reasonably posh restaurant in a trendy area of Perth and I ordered some tasty food and we had some nom nom wine and had a chat about things like his uni degree and stuff. At the end of the meal I offered to pay half the bill but he refused... Then got up and spoke to the guy at the door who shook his hand... Turns out Ryan OWNED the damn restaurant and was actually from an incredibly wealthy family that owned quite a few important and popular restaurants around Perth.

Unfortunately I found him to be a little bit of a yuppie snob, which doesn't really appeal to me and I only saw him a couple more times.

When I was a senior in high school, I met this guy online. He went to a college that was near the one I was going to be going to, so we had a lot in common from the start. It was the first time I'd ever had an online relationship with someone I could actually meet in person, so when he suggested we go on a date, I took my cousin with me for safety.
On the way there, we came up with a plan. We were supposed to go to the mall and then to the movies. I told her if I wasn't having fun, I was going to go to the bathroom in the movies and if I was gone longer than 5 minutes she should come "check on" me and then come back and say we had to leave 'cause I was "sick". LOL
So we meet up with the guy and he is cute enough and at first he seems very sweet but sweet turns to psycho in almost 0 to 60. He told me "God you're so beautiful... I think I'm falling in love with you" within 30 minutes of meeting me and then proceeded to hold my hand and not let go in every single store we went into in the mall.
Fifteen minutes into the movie, I pulled my bathroom trick. Except my cousin forgot to come check on me. LOL I was in the bathroom for almost 30 minutes before I finally went back to the theater and said "I'm so sorry... I'm sick; I need to go home." I told the guy I threw up and he still tried to kiss me goodbye!! Talk about awkward.
Needless to say, I broke up with him almost immediately after. I got home and waited a day to wait out "the illness" and then logged on and met up with him in chat to tell him I didn't think it was gonna work out. Mean, maybe, but the dude was a clingy psycho!!

I don't have funny date stories, I just have the tendency of getting hit on by allllllllllllll the wrong guys. So I will tell one of those.

So it was the first day of class in college, and I sat down and a guy sat down next to me. To be polite, I responded to his hello, and we kinda just started talking. He seemed nice enough, and he started asking typical stuff like major, what dorm I live in, etc. Then like a minute into the convo, I started to realize that his humor was...um not like mine, and it started to get creepy. The teacher came in, and realized he forgot the syllabuses (syllabi?) and so he left and the guy next to me said: "Oh great! Now I can keep hitting on you." Yeah....I don't like those kind of comments.

I would purposely take forever packing up because he was like waiting on me which was creepy. He asked for my number immediately after the first class but I kinda pretended to not hear that. I am not good at confrontation or umm rejecting people. I just can't do it! So my strategy was to answer in like one word sentences and just be polite but not do anything to encourage him. I ended up switching seats because the people around me started to realize that this guy just kept hitting on me and did not get the hint.
