Naming The Stars
I volunteered at Toronto Comic Con last year in March. At one point on Sunday, I was wandering around the guest tables and stopped when I saw pictures of awesome vampire make-up that looked familiar. I looked up and there was the nicest gentleman who introduced himself as Mark.
I was in school at Complections International Academy of Make-up Artistry (which is why I was in Toronto) to learn special effects make-up, so my conversation with Mark quickly turned to the prosthetics used for The Master. We chatted for a good while about it and then he told me something so gross that I've never quite forgotten it.
"After lunch, I would go back to set and they would poke a hole in the nose with a pin, and all of the sweat that had built up under the face piece would squirt and dribble out."
EW! Anyway, I've just recently (after 15 years) rewatched Buffy seasons 1 & 2 and I appreciate his performance now more than my 12-year-old self ever could have. I really want to meet him again so we can actually talk about his acting! 😛
