Fury, Gordon and 24 * SPOILERS *

Alright, who caught the name drop?

At least, I think it was. When Jack is at that company chasing Peter Weller's character down, he asks Audrey to distract his secretary. Audrey calls the sec, saying "This is Jane Espenson in accounting...", lol. .So, that's a David Fury in-joke, you suppose?

Cool. I missed that.
OK, so reading Radio Times a few weeks ago, when 24 was getting its new season premiere on Sky One, it was hinted at that Keifer, thus Jack, would 'Bauer'(ohh screw you all) out at the end of either this season, or more then likely at the end of next, BUT it was made clear, as long as the writers had fresh ideas, the show can continue sans Sutherland....so i wanna know...do you think its possible?
Could Tony Almeida take over Bauers place, or should a new agent be brought in?
Heck
Should the new main focus agent be a man?

OK, if you have that settled in your head, what about Bauer?
Should he leave after finally finding a woman to spend his life with, actually go to prison for one of the many laws he breaks(but all for the good of the country) or should he leave in a body bag?
Or in the ultimate final twist, make him a DEEP cover agent for a terrorist cell who has been doing everything he can to infiltrate the US government at all levels?

Jack's like a superhero, and superheroes never truly die it seems. But, I think it would be OK if he went out with a bang...or finally went off the grid in perpetuity, never to be seen again. Just can't imagine Jack retiring"”fishing, watching NASCAR, whatever...

Tony Almeida is the best replacement I can think of. He'd do well. But even he can't quite project the same combination of compassionate tenderness and completely brutal efficiency...I dunno...

I've even heard suggestions of using Curtis. But he's so bland...maybe a Lone Gunmen-type spinoff with Chloe and Edgar, lol.

lol. Couldn't they just carry it on without jack?
I mean ctu still exsists without jack bauer. Does there need to be another jack?

I'd also love a more chloe focused thing. that'd be cool.

[Whedonesque] Christian Kane in "24: The Game".

The just released "24" game features the likeness and voice of Christian Kane. He is in the trailer and seems to be one of the main bad guys .(Fury influence here?)

Just re-visiting old seasons and i'm on season 2 now.
More ME's(though this one comes from 2001-2002) Harris Yulin and Daniel Dae Kim.
I also reemembered that in season 3 Gina Torres has a role...its quite fun Whedonverse Spotting...lol

anyway, back the new season

lol. Couldn't they just carry it on without jack?

Thats kinda what was insinuated by the article.

I personally think that Tony would be a great character to keep, but i dont think he is strong enough to take over from Jack, in the sense that Carlos is not Keifer.

Curtis, now you see i could see him doing a good Job. Yes, he is pretty bland, but i think thats a good thing. We havent seen much of him really, so he is a character that can be built on.
Also, i think it would be cool to have a Jack/Nina relationship from season 1 pre-evil bitch(though anyone who kills Teri Bauer gets a thumbs up from me-if she had to have killed Kim too i think i would have proposed marriage) focusing on two agents, a male and female.

I love Chloe, i would love to see more of her....sexually....just kidding, but i'm not...anyway, i love her character but i dont feel making her anything other then awesome office girl....Edgar grates me, but not in a bad way. I think he was written to do that, so i like him.

As for Bauers final act, i think he should die heroically, Doyle-esque.
Though(and i know this would NEVER happen) i do kinda like the idea of having him be the villlain of the piece, just a sa final cruel twist.

Just finished watching tonight's special 2 parter, and I don't think it will be too much of a spoiler for the non-NA people to say OMG.

I'll only say the second part is so good I want to know if Fury wrote it.

For all though, don't you think in spite of being pretty damned good this season it has to be the worst season for stuff you have to click your brain off to believe.

But back to the OMG thing. Seriously don't highlight the spoiler if you haven't seen it. It will completely ruin it for you.

Can you believe Edgar died? He was my second favourite character. But speaking of stuff that was kind of hard to believe - 2 words - key card.

Yeah, what's with the insto-ID-face-morph technology? And did they x-ray the dude's bag as he strolled into CTU?! I'm brain-dead, or the show's getting idiotic (or both, heh).

But it was shocking, entertaining, riveting, all that good stuff. Poor Chloe!

My mouth dropped in unison with hers.
Yeah. My favourite 2 seconds of any show this season. She looks out the window and says "Oh no".

Not to worry guys that was the anti-spoiler.

But [warning] that was the last the last warning. I just changed the title of the thread to Spoilers, so be warned from now on there will be no spoiler tags.

I'm opening a UK spoiler-free thread for 24.

What was up with the James Bondish music? lol. You'd think this show is morphing into Alias or something. Like when Chloe was messing with the servers...very Bond. Hmm.

I missed that. This was my personal favourite of the recent episodes though.

WOW...LONDON GETS TERRORIZED....but not for real

A movie version of hit US TV series 24 is to be filmed in London, according to its star Kiefer Sutherland.

The actor will tell Jonathan Ross of the plans during an appearance on his BBC chat show, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

Sutherland, who plays Jack Bauer in the TV series, tells Ross: "We're working on that, we'll shoot the film here.

"We're really excited about it. In the US 24 was slow to catch on but in the UK it was big so Fox stuck with it, so thank you Britain."

Great!

I'm gonna be watching Friday night with Jonathon Ross tonight!!! (I'll turn off when the sex and the city woman comes on though)

In London eh...what would Jack be doing in London...hmmmm...the plot thickens...

I watched it!!!! Kiefer is cool!!!

What I got from it was that the film will be shot partcially in London. He said the film is not going to be in real time (obviously, they cant make a 24 hour movie...unless they did it in many parts....3 hour segments...hmmmmm) so it allows them to travel to places.

He said how he loves the character and the show and wants to do more.

He also has made a documentary which they showed a clip of....it was hilarious....Kiefer sutherland drunk running and Jumping into a christmas tree...priceless. I didnt realise he has a record label and is really into his music. It was interesting.

There was also a clip of next weeks 24....wow. looks pretty darn cool.

Yeah, i watched it and the man is cool, and i also thought he was adorable.
I loved Ross trying to set him and Davis up, i might not have liked SatC but i can't deny she is an attractive lady.

OK, so, from what i read into what Keifer said 24: The Movie will be based in Europe, with some time in London, Johnathan Ross may star😉LOLOLOL.
Obviously it will be a threat on the US so i get the feeling Jack could be on vacation in Europe and stumble on a plot.
Also, with it being a movie and it being one of the big shows, its gonna have a HUGE budget, so i expect plenty of the stuff we see, car chases, explosions, sexy ladies but i also think we will get some huge star to play the villain. I mean the villains of the past few have been good, but honestly i don't think any have compared to the reveal of Dennis Hopper in season 1.
ohh, heres a thought, wouldnt it be beyond AWESOME, if the Villain of the movie was Jacks Father played by Keifers Father the awesome Donald Sutherland?
Sorry, just a dream, i've wanted to see Donald in the show since forever.

The Docu that you mentioned, i saw that tree scene on the news a few months ago, i didnt know it was for a documentary, i really look forward to that on Monday night(though i gotta say, i wasn't overly impressed with that singer he brought on).

After last nights interview, Keifer has firmly set himself as one, if not the, best actors of TV and Film of the last 20 years in my opnion.
