Future of the Buffyverse wishlist (S9 and ANGEL)

So what would you like to see happen in Season Nine and Dark Horse' Angel?

Here's what I want:
-More Oz, just not with his wife, (sorry I couldn't stand her) I'd like to see him working with the slayers
-Have a cross-over arc featuring Connor meeting the Scooby Gang
-Have Spike get together with Dru or Illyria, just don't have him trying to go after Buffy again, Spike has moved on.
-Remove Kennedy please. The more I see of her the more she gets on my nerves
-Give Connor a love interest
-Bring Back Wesley, I liked him so much in ATS S5, his death scene always makes me sad
-No more Warren, bringing him back cheapened Tara's death IMO, it bothers me that he even came back in the first place.
-Have a prequel story about Giles time as Ripper
-More Faith and Buffy interaction
-A flashback story focusing on the fanged four (Angelus, Darla, Spike, Drusilla)
-A happy ending for at least one of the main characters, even though it's not gonna happen

And that's all I would really like to see for now

-I'm a Spuffy, but would be satisfied if Spike and Buffy are just really good friends and confidants. Spike should end up with someone new. I don't particularly think he would work well with Dru now that he has a soul and I don't see him having anything more than a sexual relationship with Illyria. Sorry to Sprusilla or Spillyria shippers. Though Spillyria is more probable than Sprusilla, I would think. But hey, if Spike and Buffy get back together (highly unlikely, near impossible), I'm all for it! 😀
-Yes, Yes, Yes, x1000 for bringing Wesley back!
-Yes to a prequel story about Giles as Ripper.
-Yes to more Faith and Buffy interaction

And I really want Anya back. I want her and Xander to get their happily ever after.

 

[Angelic Slayer]

Neat idea for a thread, I haven't got my latest issues yet but I suppose I could come up with some hopes and dreams for S9.

- I agree that it's time for Spike to find a new lady, I adore his character and I'm starting to get sick to death of him drooling over Buffy. I don't mean to pick a fight with the Spuffies here, I'm just saying I'd like to see him with a more available girl for a change 😉

- Also think bringing Connor into the Buffyverse to meet the Scoobies would be neat to watch unfold if it were to happen next season. I think he would fit right in with the Scooby Gang dynamic and could add some light-heartedness to the series.

- I would love to see Buffy and Angel love each other forever and happily together, preferably without supernatural babies (hey, just throwing it out there!)

- Some more scenes of the old Gang teaching (and dealing with!) the new slayers. With so many teenaged girls running around I don't think the writers have yet tapped into the entertainment potential there!

- Agreed too that more Faith/Buffy interaction would be nice to see. And I never would have thought of a Ripper One-Shot; I'd love to read a comic like that. Dive into Giles' past more than they could on the show...

- My final wish list request would be a happy ending for Xander. Please. The poor guy can't take another girl dying or leaving on him or a life disaster-- so I'd love for once in this series for a regular to get a happy ending. Preferably him. Joss Whedon if you are reading this please I am begging you; let one of them be happy!!! 😉 😀

- Main thing... involve the Senior Partners into the big finish.
- Either have Angel or Spike become human at the end(hopefully Spike so we can maybe get a movie involving James Marsters).
- Buffy needs to die when the story itself is over(probably not in s9 but if it is the end, then yes).
- A fight between Angel & Spike.
- Somehow relate both shows storylines into the final plot(like team up big bads from each show or something).
- Cordy need to meet the Scooby Gang a last time.
- I'm hoping for a finish that goes somewhat like this... Angel kills Buffy, Spike kills Angel, and SHANSHU(ok i'm gonna get plenty of pissed off fans on me).
- An extra for me would be for Buffy to meet Connor.
- Xander finally gets with a girl that doesn't die.

[FTR, I'm reading Retreat right now, so I haven't gone beyond that, and I've read none of Angel ATF] I'd love to see Doyle & Cordy guiding the gangs from the great beyond.
And yes, bring back some more Big Bads, maybe Glory or Catherine. Not Adam, though, ugh. I'd like more Buffy & Giles. There actually was a Giles' past issue in Buffy Omnibus. But another one would be cool. I really liked The Chain, I'd like more like that, about some of the new Slayers. One on the other decoy would be fun.

Ugh. How about Season 8 ends with all the slayers being magicked away and the scoobies all moving to another hellmouth so we can watch them be scoobies again in Season 9?

Totally and completely agree with all of this, you took the words right out of my mouth. This is how I'd love to see it play out 🙂

I'd love Anya come back even in Xander's dreams
I haven't read the latest yet so killing off Dawn would be a big plus

Riley to be killed off

I really wish that Oz would learn to use/integrate his werewolf powers rather than sublimate them. I've always wished that. But that never seems to be in the storyline for any werewolves in the Buffyverse.

I don't read the Angel comics, but in terms of Buffy Season 9...

1. No more castle. (it got blown up, so i don't think that's a problem)
2. Vi needs to be upgraded to main cast. (my favorite potential slayer)
3. Buffy & Xander NEED to find the person they're going to be with forever. (if it's the final season)
4. I want one more FULL vampire related season. (as I feel seasons 1, 2, and 7 were the best)
5. More Faith
6. I want to see someone else be in charge, like Giles. Buffy's been the Slayer since she was 15? It's time she have at least some down time while not completely giving up slaying, as it was seasons 1-6.
7. someone needs to get a dog (i like puppies...)

I'd like it if they lost the big global storylines and just went back to basics. I wouldn't mind the Slayer army disbanding either and it just reverted back to the Scoobies.

For Season 9, I would like to see:

At least a full 4 issue arc, more if possible, in which, for a change, Buffy gets captured by some big bad, and everybody else, in 2 or 3 person teams, are trying to find her. Then there could be a huge climactic battle where all of the good guys team up to storm the evil army and rescue her.

Spike and Faith team up for an arc or more. Ensuing romance optional, but if it happens, Buffy has to know about it and be overcome with jealousy (whether of Faith or Spike, take your pick)

Illyria and Fred divided into two separate characters. Wes returns and pairs up with Fred, while Connor and Illyria team up.

Oz teaching Nina how to control her lycanthropic powers, then the two of them joining up with Angel. (Maybe to try and bring Cordy back)

Gunn, Xander, and Dawn teaming up.

Giles and Andrew trying to reassemble the Watchers' library and archives (The Buffyverse version of "The Librarian" series of movies.)

Willow and Satsu hooking up after Kennedy is sucked into a galactic whirlpool and tossed out onto the planet without shrimp, never to be seen or heard from again.

At some point, either Spike temporarily loses his powers or Riley temporarily becomes super powered, so that Spike can beat the mortal crap out of him in repayment for Riley's treatment of him back in Sunnydale.

Unlike most of you, I'd like to see Spike and Buffy together again. But I wouldn't say no to a Spike-Buffy-Angel threesome!

With me, it's not a question of wanting to see Spike and Buffy together again as it is a question of seeing Buffy realize that she actually WANTS to be with Spike again, that the time that they spent together in the quiet moments in Season 7 were the most peaceful time that she has known in the entire series. The best way for her to see that is to be shown exactly what she let slip through her fingers, and decide that Spike is worth actually working to get back. Too long, she's seen him as the little puppy dog following around after her, begging for tidbits of affection. She needs to be reminded very forcefully just why she wasn't "ready for him to not be there," and why she still isn't.

Even her attitude of knowing that Spike had returned, but being "too busy" to so much as call him, perfectly illustrates Buffy's attitude of believing that, when she DOES finally call, go to, or even just send for him, Spike is going to come running, just like the little puppy metaphor above. It's way past time for Ms Summers to realize that Spike no longer needs her to make his life complete and fulfilling, and that if she wants him back, she's going to have to give him a very good reason to come back.
