gah!!

Oh that annoyed me too! She's supposed to be 15 and she acts like she is 5. No 15 yr olds I know whine that much. No 10 yr olds i know whine that much and i live with a ten yr old brother! Honestly, Dawn ruined a lot of seasons 5-7 for me, simply because she would get so annoying i would have to skip to a different episode where she didnt exist.
 
I don't like Dawn in that episode because of her whininess, although as a whole her character never bothered me. But yeah, in Tabula Rasa she was completely childlike.
 
Dawn being winny and childlike is part of her character. It's her cry for help and attention. After her mother's passing not to mention with her sister being The Slayer she is underlooked and sometimes doesn't get the love and attention that she needs.

I understand that, and I've even defended it in other posts... I'm just saying in Tabula Rasa is was a little much, even for me. 😛
 
I felt that they didn't write her all that well, especially in this episode. Don't get me wrong, she was great before. But especially in season seven, it's like they wanted to speed up her aging process and they made her a bit too OOC and irritating.
 
Her performance in Tabula Rasa was absolutely hideously awful...it almost ruined the whole episode for me. I don't think it was the writing so much as Michelle thinking that losing your memory somehow makes you revert to being infantile...

It doesn't but to the same token it's basic way of communication. It's like if I got amnesia and I forgot who a friend of mine was I might re-act and treat them differently than I normally would do I get what you're saying.
 
I really like Dawn. I don't find her "whiny" Not even in tabula rasa, I'm in IRC now and no-one can seem to tell me what this is about. so can someone here please tell me what you mean?
 
You need someone to explain how Dawn was whiny? Did you watch season 5 and the majority of season 6?
