Game Of Thrones : Isn't it disgusting and hard to watch ?

I don't find that stuff hard to watch in and of itself. But when the writers force it into the show, without it really having any meaning or storyline purpose, then I am just annoyed and a little grossed out.

One example was they had an actor show a wart on his penis. Did that scene need to be there? No. Did it have any storyline purpose? Not in the slightest. But there it was.

Game of Thrones is the best thing since Buffy. It can be disturbing and hard to watch but that's because you care about what happens. It all makes sense within the world. A few loud people have complained when their preferred character isn't treated well but fortunately the writers and show runners appear to be able to ignore them so far.

Exactly. It's the nature of the world they live in. Vast majority have more lows than highs.

And for the most part there is no "good" character, everyone has major flaws that make them a liability. I think the only character that really didn't seem flawed was shot while he was on the crapper.

I didn't think he was flawed. He as the most level-headed, pragmatic person there was. The only flaw he might of had, would be, like so many others, what lead to his death.

I haven't watched the series in a while (this thread makes me want to have a marathon) but didn't Tyrion say when he was young his dad found out he was in love with a prostitute so forced her to service a bunch of other men in front of him? That's pretty bad.

Tywin was CEO bad, sets bad in motion without dirtying his hands.

It’s worse than that actually. Tyrion fell in love with a woman, married her, Twyin told him she was a prostitute, ( and that Jaime and Twyin has hired her to sleep with
Him to make him a man) had all his men and guards have sex with her on front of Tyrion because Tyrion went and married her.

Turns out though, she actually WASNT a prostitute and really loved Tyrion. Jaime confesses this to Tyrion in the books, so Tywin basically had Tyrion’s wife gangraped just to make Tyrion suffer. It’s the major reason why Tyrion kills him in books. They left that little part out of the show. It’s also a
Major reason Tyrion also swears vengeance on Jaime as well. Tyrion is in a Much darker place than he is in the show.
