Anyone up for discussing the season??? I think it is my favorite season by far and am having serious withdrawals having to wait for season 8

Hahahaha. Dragons beat elephants. 🙂 also, my personal theory is that Euron will betray her and use the Golden Company for himself and seize the throne.

Or TRY to seize it anyway. I don't see him being loyal to Cersei

Are elephants strong enough to carry ballistas? 🙄

I do not think a Lofoten viking can take the throne without someone like Cersei to legitimise his rule.

I wish so hard for Cersei and Jamie to pull through, but I can't see it happening. However, I can't see Dany winning either. I have long felt they are setting Dany up to fall.

What is the general consensus on Jon/Daenerys? I was trying hard not to be into it but hot damn that last episode made it hard not to ship the two! I feel like a sick freak lol.

I want Cersei to die a horrific death. I have been over her for seasons already. Lena Heady is the only saving grace about her character, she is AMAZING. I do agree about wanting Jaime to pull through though.

I'm very interested in the role that Jon Snow ( Aegon Targaryen) will play. It's probably not a surprise that he is my Boo..I love him!! And I love him and Dany...Jon and dany are my favorites actually.

I have a feeling Jon will be riding Rheagal next season. I also think Dany will be pregnant , there have been so many anvils dropped this season.

AloT of people are saying Dany will die, but I refuse to believe it...I think we have spent to much time on her and her growth to have her be killed off...it would actually just really make me mad.

I think Bran has a very Important role to play in defeating the Night King.

I love them!!! Watching the whole series you can see they have had parallel journeys. They are made for each other, they are literally the title of the book series. Ice and Fire. T doesn't gross me out because they are not aware they are aunt and nephew, and its not unusual in royal marriages, especially in the Targaryen family.

And after watching seven years of Twincest I think I am desensitized lol

Yeah so glad I'm not alone! But I'm pretty sure once the Targaryen family deal is figured out - they were going to have alot of drama. When they find out that Jon is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne I can't see Dany just being like - that's cool, I'll sit back and let you rule. So it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I LOVE that Jaime is finally redeemed (ish). He won't go back on his word and finally walks away from Cersei. He has always been the quintessential anti-hero, I wanted so much for him to be redeemed and he finally did something I could be proud of!

Also, my own personal fantasy is that Nymeria (Aryas wolf) will return with her wolf pack and fight in the battle against the night king. To see the Dragons, AND the Direwolves, including Ghost, take part in an epic battle would be amazing!

Despite Ygritte being my favorite GoT character, I'm open to Jon/Dany but also not really invested in it. I find their scenes interesting but I don't really ship it.

I hope Sansa rules them all at the end 🙂

It sure is interesting that Cersei is pregnant and I think Dany probably will be. I don't think they would have had her saying she couldn't have children like that if it wasn't going to turn out to be a thing.

I think it will be more drama on Danys side. Jon has no desire for the Iron Throne, he is not power hungry. He has already pledged himself to Dany and I don't see him going against her.

I think the real pathos will be Dany having to come to terms with the fact that she is not the last targargyen, and she is not the rightful heir. She has spent her life, and seven seasons feeling ENTITLED to the Iron Throne based on her name and Birthright...finding out Jon, the man she loves is actually ahead of her in the succession is going to really mess with her sense of identity I think.

But do we know for sure if Cersei is pregnant? I thought maybe she was saying that out of convenience maybe.

Also - what in the HECK happened in that meeting with Cersei and Tyrion?? I want to know!

We don't know for sure but I think she is.

I personally think Tyrion has betrayed Dany in some way. I started having that feeling that he was going to betray her or change sides midway in the season. He seemed to lose a bit of faith in her at times this season and I think that despite how he feels about his family, he's still looking for their love and approbation and feels protective of them. I hope I'm wrong.

I personally think Tyrion has betrayed Dany in some way. I predicted it a couple of episodes before the season finale. He seemed to lose a bit of faith in her at times this season and I think that despite how he feels about his family, he's still looking for their love and approbation. I hope I'm wrong.

I kinda think that too... actually. Which will be interesting to see now that Jaime is heading over how that will play out.

This was an amazing Season. It moved lightening fast. My husband and I would always laugh that you couldn't look down for a second or run to go pee because you would miss a super vital plot point! I can't believe we have to wait until late in 2018 for next Season!!

It's crazy!! It used to take them forever to travel and now they travel from the wall to the south in the same episode lol.

Ok so here are my full thoughts on season 7.

I found it pretty great that Dany finally made it to Westeros, and that we finally had massive reunions with all these characters.

I don't think that Tyrion has betrayed Dany. Not consciously anyway. I think he absolutely has some loyalty to his family deep down, and that's why he has been counseling against Dany using force. All of his plans this season has failed, and has left Dany significantly more weakened than she has been. However, I do genuinely believe he loves her and wants her to succeed. My impression is that he feels guilty for the deaths of his niece and nephew, even though it was Cerseis doing, and he adores and loves Jaime. It remains to be seen, but I honestly don't think he has purposely betrayed Dany.

Jaime heading to Winterfell is pretty amazing on different levels. It will allow him the opportunity to tell Danys group that Cersei has betrayed them, and it will allow Tyrion I think to finally feel mentally ok to move against his family. With Jaime on his side he will no longer be so conflicted. Also , the confrontation between Bran and Jaime is a long time coming.

Cersei I think has ****ed herself. Jaime was the only one truly loyal to her and she backstabbed him. Euron desires power, his first choice was to marry Dany. Cersei has left herself surrounded by enemies. I think she will probably make it to the finale, cause she has serious plot armor, but I think she will lose.

The reunion between Jon and Arya should be interesting...I feel Arya will be ok with Jon aligning himself with Dany because she hero worships the Targaryen dragon queens. Sansa is another story. She is a wild card to me because while I feel she loves her family, I also think her trauma has made her lose trust and seek only her own safety.

On a personal level, I loved Spoils of WAr. To finally see Dany cut loose and rain terror on the Lannister was cathartic for me. Too long they have been awful, and have won...to see Jaime almost piss himself when he saw Drogon was a long time coming.

My heart broke for Viserion, and it will be gut wrenching to see him face off against his brothers and mother next season.

I don't know about you guys, but learning the whole truth about Jons parentage casts a very negative light on Lyanna and Rheagar. Rheagar leaving his wife and 2babies to run off with Leanna caused not only a war, but the death of thousands and the rape and murder of Elia Martell , his first wife, and innocent babies.

Poor Ned Stark, carrying this secret his whole life, effectively casting a stain on his honor and putting a dent on his marriage.

Dany was amazing this season. I don't get her haters...she was a superhero, rushing in to save Jon and the others in Beyond the wall and losing a child in the process. I love her personally.

Spoiler alert:::

Cersei is pregnant but will miscarry. It was originally going to be in the finale, it was filmed and everything but was taken out. So I think it has been moved to season 8 to Constrast with Dany being Pregnant.

Also,... I love Gendry and was thrilled to see him.

I actually preferred season 6, myself. However, it was much better than season 5.
I hope Sansa rules them all at the end 🙂
Yeah this! Although, I think it's more likely that she ends up ruling just the North. Since it looks like Jon will be busy elsewhere. 😉

I have a few questions:

How many more dragons do you think will die by the end? I think one at least.

Who is your favorite "bad" guy from the series?

Mine is Tywin Lannister: I could respect his old world sensibilities and his hard, pragmatic values. I also thought the actor was good. But I liked his ethic. One other thing about him was he inspired confidence in him and his command. Losing him as strategist began my doubts about how well Cersei could do in the end.

Who is/was your favorite character overall?

Everyone will probably say Tyrion but mine are Brienne of Tarth, Jorah Mormont and Olenna Tyrell.

I hope no Dragons die. I personally feel that Jon will end up riding Rheegal. If a dragon will die, I don't think it will be Drogon.

My favorite bad guy....hmm. I think your right about Tywin. He was so interesting and pragmatic...he may have been evil and self serving but he DID hold things together. However, I think I like Cersei best as the big bad.

I hate her personally....I ache for he death. But, I have to admit that her absolute will to survive, and her destroying of all her enemies at the end of season 6 was outrageously bad ass. 🙂

My favorite character overall is Jon Snow. I absolutely love him. He's so good...and sexy...and heroic. I can't help but love him. He's bad ass as well as sweet...and he's such the definition of a hero !! It's nice to root for someone so good. That's Also why I love Superman over batman and why I married a good hearted guy with heroic tendencies. 🙂

I'm a sucker for the noble ones.

dany is my second favorite, which is why I'm such a shipper of them both!

So Arya, Dany and Jon are my favorites.

I have a question:;

Do you think Euron Greyjoy actually went to get the Golden Company or did he really flee back to the Iron Islands? I know him and Cersei planned out his fake leaving, but that was before he actually saw the White walker. So do you think he meant it when he said that was the only thing that scared him?

My main conclusion from season 7 is that the Night King is the most bad ass villain ever.

Absolutely loved how he killed one of those, impossible to stop, dragons without even breaking a sweat.
It wasn't even an inconvenience for him. Almost made me cheer in front of the TV. lol
