Right, but I just dont buy into the argument they created Brynden as a means to take back control of the land. Especially considering he was a Targaryen and all. I could see them wanting to get out the Andals and Targs, and they were waiting all this time for Bran, as he was a First Man. But then that would mean that it really was Bran in his body and not Brynden, which I could be okay with but it didn't seem that way.
Why are you focusing so much on Brynden? Did you miss the skeletons in the cave? It's the same in the books. The Children have used hundreds of vessels for the 3ER. Brynden was just the current one. Brynden was not Brynden anymore either.
He spoke like him though, used his same verbiage and all.
Because he was the last greenseer, the one they called the three eyed crow was Brynden. Who were the others called that, because I don't remember. There were other greenseers but they had other names. He was called crow because he was a Crow.
How do you know? Were we ever given a flashback what Brynden was like before he became the 3ER? They didn't even give the guy in the tree a name in the show from what I remember, much less show us his backstory.
Greenseers are everywhere. Mostly across the North but Brynden (if that's even him in the show) was not the only one. We have Jojen and Bran and possibly Rickon on the show. Greenseeing is a genetic trait. 3ER is the entity you become once connected with the weirdwood net. When you get the ability full force and see past, present and future. The body just becomes a host to the 3ER entity. Think of it like a hive mind. The weirdwoods contain all the memories of all the Children that died near one and have their consciousness absorbed into it. Of every previous 3ER connected to it. The memory of everything that happened near and around weirwoods. Once you connect to it, you become part of it. But you would be absorbed into the hive mind and cease to exist. Hence Bran saying things like 'I'm not Brandon Stark anymore, not really.' 'I remember what it was like to be Brandon Stark'.
When he says he sees with a thousand eyes and one. That's what he said when he was Master of Whispers and the King's Hand. That's why the song was written about him. He says it, in the show, to Bran.
I disagree with that.
