Game of Thrones

The "religious nuts" are the only group besides Daenerys who cares about villagers and townies. Cersei and Tyrells they "persecuted" are worse people than them.
Oh yeah a lot of what they said sounded great. I was nodding along with the smash the monarchy approach. However what they cared about was a mixture of serving their God, torturing people and persecuting anyone with different opinions.

As for Daenerys she cares when it suits her. She wants to be ruler of the world and worshipped as a God. It serves her purpose to help the little people every so often to get them on side. If it came down to it though she'd kill all of them for the throne.

Sad to see Margaery go. Last 2 episodes have been epic! This season was WAY better than last season. Maybe having gone past the books, for the most part, freed the creators up creatively.

I actually feel a bit sorry for GRRM. This season overall has been great, it's going to be hard for his new book to compete....

There's not much else I have to add about the finale that hasn't already been said. I think I am more impressed that the show has always kept you guessing, even if you know how tv works and where the setups fall, it was still mega exciting. I even try not to look at the cast credits just so's not to spoil myself. I missed The Hound in this episode though, but the silver lining is he's definitely in the next season with Arya. 😀

Was hoping for a Hound, Arya & Sansa reunion in the finale, but looks like they had enough going on already. Probably in the 1st few episodes of season 7.

I know there are some people who cheer about the empowerment of women in the last few episodes, but does anybody find that the Sam plot line has a misogynist tone? "This library is so awesome and serious that women can't enter! And it's sooooo coooool!" Gross.

It seems to be the empowerment of female aristocracy, not the poor (women).

Yeah. The women of houses can be empowered, a wildling woman like Gilly can't (yet!), but I certainly think that'll change.... I like to think as the Breaker of Chains, Daenerys will certainly feel the need to empower these women, like she did with the slaves of Astapor, Yunkai and Meereen.
