Talking with a few people on here got me thinking...How many gamers do we have here on BB? What kind of games are your poison? Do you game on a console or a computer?

Count me in. 360 master race reporting in *stands at attention*. I'm a sucker for anything survival horror, RPG and T/FPS. Not really a fan of driving simulators and sport games (I play Madden with my cousin every now and then but other than that....)

If it's a game I will play it. I used to play a lot of games on the PC but decided that changing the internal gubbins every six months to keep up with advances in technology was too expensive, so now I play mostly PS3 games. I am a member of a games club in Stevenage UK where we play pen and paper RPGs and the occasional board or card game. I am an avid poker player and play online and at my local casino for tiny stakes. That's small sums of money, not miniature vampire-dusting devices 😀 So yeah, I would describe myelf as a little bit of a gamer.

I used to be a huge gamer. Now, unfortunately due to me not having the time, can't play too often. But I play on console, and the Resident Evil series is my favorite game franchise ever. I can play those games over and over and not get bored. It's so freaking addictive. 😛

Oh im quite a big gamer! Xbox 360 and PS3, we have both so that when me and my boyfriend want to play, we dont have to fight over who gets to go first lol
My fav games are Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Hitman (so looking forward to the new one coming out), GTA, Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, C.O.D, LA Noire, Red dead Redemption, oh the list goes on, and on! I am also a huge Sims fan on the PC!
Anything to help me escape the cruel real world! haha

I play games a decent amount. There are so many new games though that I really can't afford to play the majority of them. I have an XBOX 360 and I play my brothers' PS3 a lot. I used to play Rock Band a lot on XBOX 360, but not anymore. The last game I played on that was the latest Assassin's Creed game, which was awesome 🙂 (As they all are... looking forward to the next one!!)

On the PS3 I play a lot of FPS games. I've played a ton of COD, then I got BF3 and played that. Lately I've been playing MAG a lot, which is probably my favorite multiplayer shooter. I also got into re-playing Final Fantasy 9, which I'm half way through disc 3 now.

For the PC I have Skyrim, but I really can't get into it. Played like about an hour of it and it lost my interest. I play A LOT of Starcraft 2. This is my favorite game at the moment.

If anybody plays the games that I have bolded, let me know so I can add you and we can get our game on! 😛 Cuz those are the ones I play the most right now 🙂

I game a lot. I've got a PS3 and PSP and a 3DS and I play them a fair amount.

Love the Final Fantasy series and the Uncharted games. So so much. Am currently in the middle of Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings. And the 3DS remake of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I game a lot, or at least I used to (work is keeping me busy at the moment). I'm pretty much just a console gamer. I have a 360 but only for offline exclusives. (Fable) I mainly play on PS3 and have games such Call of Duty, Battlefield 3, Saints Row, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, MAG, and Guitar Hero. The only types of games I can't get into are sports and racing games.

I play once the kids are in bed. PC is my platform, and adventure/survival are my types of games. I love Fallout and Oblivion, but I also Play a lot of Diablo.

I also play a lot of Super Nintendo games. My favorites are- Illusion of Gaia, Lufia: Rise of the Sinistrals, Act Raiser, and Zelda: Link to the past.

I am a HUGE gamer. I used to have an xbox and would play most FPS's. Not a very big fan of strategy gaming.

I'm a big Zelda fangirl. No one knows about Zelda more than I do 😛

I have a wii right now. Most recent game I played on it was Skyward Sword. I have other games but I don't play them as much as I used to play on my xbox.

lately tho, I've been a really big fan of the recreational gaming on the iPhone. Draw Something, Cut the Rope, Temple Run, Fruit Ninja, etc.

Former big Gamer here, long-retired from the activity. Was mostly into survival horror....RPGs....and action/shoot 'em up type games. Did a few PC games too. The last game system ever owned....the Gamecube.

Well....I should say SEMI-retired, as I started up again last year in a limited capacity by purchasing a PSP 3000 and a few games. Tryin' to work my way back.....

I love anything Nintendo. I also love any Zelda game. I have a Wii, but most of the good games are at home with my brother. With me at college I only have Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Mario Kart and Harry Potter Lego Years 5-7. I bought a 3DS the other day, but haven't bought Ocarina of Time yet. I just have Super Mario 3D Land.

😀 Aren't you happy D3 is FINALLY coming out? Remind me to add you as a friend there. Also huuuuge karma for the LTTP love!!! That's my favorite game of all time.

As for the OP, yes I'm a gamer. I don't play as much as I used to as a kid, and I can't say my interest is how it used to be... But I'll always be a proud gamer. 😉 I like a lot of genres... Action, rpg, sports, strategy, fighters ect... I'm not a big fan of pure FPS (except Goldeneye, one of the best games ever!) though. Way too many of those in the past years.

HalloweenRain agrees: Actually I got to help in the beta testing. There are these ugly purple and green tones over the maps. It's not living up to what I had hoped for.

Lucky you! And what you mean? Like, graphic bugs? Won't those be corrected before the launch?

The first video game I ever played was Super Mario Kart 64...good times. When I was younger I loved Tomb Raider, ya know, back when Playstation didn't suck. I have an Xbox 360 (my gamertag's ProphecyGirl65 😉...my old username haha) and I like it 10 billion times better than my dad's PS3. I'm not sure if I'd call myself a gamer. I'll play for days when a new game comes out (Skyrim. Any TES game to tell you the truth) but when school starts, I can't afford to get sucked in to playing 24/7.

^See I'm the opposite. I have a PS3 and when I go to my dad's house and play on his xbox it irritates the heck out of me! 😛

So yeah I play games. I have a PS2, PS3, Wii and PSP. I use the PS3 most though. The wii and the PSP don't get used all that much and my PS2 is only used when I have a craving for an old game! My favourite games are Assassin's Creed (but not so much the first one), Uncharted, Final Fantasy, Little Big Planet (hilarious with your mates when alcohol fueled at 3 in the morning), Skyrim, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Arkham Asylum and a bunch more. I have a couple of COD games which I love but I'm not very good at it so rather petrified to play online 'cause I just get shouted at for being a noob.

My laptop doesn't like to run games but when I did have a place to run them I loved playing the Sims, but my favourite PC game is Amnesia: The Dark Descent. No game has scared the crap out of me as much as that has and I love it! It's what got me into scary games, and so I recently bought FEAR and F3AR for the PS3 but they haven't managed to scare me yet 🙁

Yep! Just said in the post above actually 😛 It's brill. It sacred the crap out of me but I scare easy. I thought it was such a great game though. Well worth it! It's fun to play with friends too although that might lessen the scare factor a little bit!

I would consider myself a moderate gamer. Mainly i'm an old school gamer (PS1, PS2, Xbox, Sega Genesis, Gamecube). I used to be really into war games, but lately (The past three or four years) i've switched to RPGs and Survival Horror. But I'm still up for a little shoot 'em up action every now and then.

Probably the best RPG i've ever played was (*geek voice*) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. A truely amazing game, and I would recommend it to anyone who has an Xbox or a somewhat basic PC.
