I completely agree with Jman about what he said about this. Vampyr, your completely right, God's religion is based on choice. But whether to be gay is a choice or not is something that I can't prove and its something that you can't prove either. I know I don't consciously decide that I prefer men over women, its just who I am, so I assume that gay people are the same, they don't consciously decide to fall in love with people of the same sex.

Thanks everyone! Vicious, I love that quote! Haha, I'm sure there are tons of other ones that would be good too. I love how Jack refers to heterosexuality as if it's some really disgusting thing, which is interesting in relation to the point I brought up before. As to the last thing you said though Vicious, I agree with that pretty much, though I do think it should definately be allowed for them to get married in a religious way as long as that religion doesnt condemn it as a sin.

Well said Jman. And i like what you said about being forced....I mean its like your gonna feel pain forever because you dont like me or belive me, i think that is being pretty forceful and wanting vengance.Another thing, i want to know why you think its ok to frown upon gay people, and i noticed you did'nt answer my question...

Well?

OK I'm not bothered to quote everyone and everything and I'm getting sick and tired of repeating myself.. bahh!

PW: I dont understand what you meant in your quote, thats why I didnt answer it! It doesnt make sense to me. And can I repeat myself before I start getting really aggravated and start swearing all around the house... I DO NOT EFFING FROWN UPON GAY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Far out man! This is killing me.. thickened soup.. thickened soup!
No, I only disagree with Gay people getting married.

There is one quote that sums up my beliefs on the matter and here it is. I believe that Gay marriage should not be allowed because the Traditional marriage between a man and woman is the God-ordained building block of the family and bedrock of a civil society.

I dont know about the American Society, but in my country and my village Marriage is for people who want to start a solid functional family with the blessing of their religion whether it be Muslim, Jewish, Christian.. whatever. The reasons for a Gay couple wanting to be married are limited to my eyes.. I dont understand why they can not have a Legal Binding (aka Legal marriage) and not be satisfied with it?! Why do they feel they need Gods Blessings for their love when they know they are not going to get it?

Now, please dont forward questions to me that I have already answered like many of you have since I last posted. You all want answers from me, I know.. but I will from now on only answer questions that I feel are valid and that I have not already explained!

I think that it's extremely cruel to deny gays the right to marriage. Some people say "why do they even have to get married? they can be together, it's the same as marriage". If that's true, then why do hetereos marry? And why would God give us choices in life if he was just gonna condemn them? That's extremely illogical.

Nothing against Vampyr but i'd have to agree with you(slayerpower). Thats just like saying, yeah its ok you dont have to like me but you gonna go to hell if you dont. Its not the rite. Can you just imagine going to a church and they say No were not letting you get married here, because their lord belives that its ok to frown upon gay people and deny them the rite to get married. If they want gods blessing thats there decision, if god denies there requested blessing thats his decision, im not saying that he'll ever give them his blessing...but why? Why shouldnt they have his blessing, cause he thinks its wrong and unnatural. How do we know that he doesnt have a grudge against gay people?,(not that its the discussion).

I think that gay people have the right to get married in a church if they chose to, and no one should be able to tell them otherwise. Why does god hate gays? Did he just make these bunch of gay people so he could punish them for something that they didnt chose to do. But i really wanna know why god hates gay people, and why, why is it a sin to be gay?

I dont understand why they can not have a Legal Binding (aka Legal marriage) and not be satisfied with it?! Why do they feel they need Gods Blessings for their love when they know they are not going to get it?

Its the same reason heterosexuals dont really get a legal binding. Im guessing that you would like to have a religious marriage, would you be satisfied if you didnt get gods blessing and only got to have a legal binding.

Thickend soup...i hope your not talking about me.

I believe that Gay marriage should not be allowed because the Traditional marriage between a man and woman is the God-ordained building block of the family and bedrock of a civil society.

I dont really understand. Are you saying that having gay marriages will end up having an uncivil society? If that is what you mean. I dont agree, many gay people in a town wont ruin anything about that society, it may end up getting a bad reputation from the homophobics, but it would be lovely to be around people like that.

It seems to me that this thread has started to become very repetitive in the last posts.

I think this is a debate that could go on forever and the points raised will always boil down to the same things.

You cannot change a persons beliefs unless they want to have it changed. You can argue and make your point till you're blue in the face but it doesn't necessarliy mean that the other person is going to change their minds.😉

I think we can say that the original question/subject asked by Allycat has been more than covered and in the interests of keeping things civil I'm going to close this thread now and let things settle down, otherwise I can see that depsite the best efforts of the majority of members, this will get personal, which we don't want to happen.

When people start shouting in their posts to be heard it's time to call it a day.
