i was just on imdb.com and saw this

Sarah Michelle Gellar has further broken the hearts of Buffy The Vampire Slayer fans - she has turned down the chance to recreate her famous TV character in episodes of spin-off series Angel. Buffy creator Joss Whedon had offered the actress the chance to return to TV in 2004 to play Buffy in two special episodes of Angel, but she has turned him down. A disappointed Whedon says, "She feels it's not the right time."

This doesnt mean that she says no to Buffys return, it just means that she does not want to appear this season.

Charisma has also said that she will not appear anymore this season because she wants to move on.
 
Here's hoping for a return next season then...
 
aww man, everyone wants to "move on" pfffffffft moving on is overrated!
I want to see B on Angel, sniff.. <pouts>
and I also want a Faith spin.. (since when do I get what I want, right? lol)

man....they gonna get paid...why don't they want to come back for a couple eps....give some closure to their falkin characters...as it is now...charisma just falls asleep...why smg is falkin riding around in a bus...lol
 
Obviously she is blonde and clueless... a growing number of B/A-fans is gettin' a little 'repulsed' by her behavior and in the long run, it's gonna ruin her.
 
Uh hello, SMG has given 7 years of her life to the show, she couldve left alot earlier if she wanted to. I want her to guest star but if she doesnt I will not stop likeing her or start to bash her. Sure ill be angry for awhile but thats all.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that SMG also is human and has a life, she has a husband and wants to try to do other things. She just stopped playing Buffy like 7 months ago, let her have a year off.
 
sniff sniff..i think im going to cry,,,just kidding. Lets just hope she appears next year. And Allycat, she gave seven years, she wants to try something new and is probably very busy. Lets just be happy we got seven years(and just really really really hope we see her next season!)
 
It sucks, but I guess she's pretty busy. At least she isn't saying she'll never do a guest spot. I'll remain very anxious to see SMG on the show next season then.

I don't blame SMG, I mean seriously for 7 years she was bruised and battered and did REALLY long hours, the show wasn't recognised as it should of been done, she's just getting a break after all these hard years. Probably her first since she was young.
I'm probably going to killed for this but they should bring Dawn in for a cameo, like her going to UCLA and her explaining wat Buffy's up to. Plus, it'd be funny to see if she does that annoying screaming 'get out' thing again. God, she's loud!.
 
I am disappointed about SMG not returning, it would be such a right time for her to appear because of the whole Angel & Spike thing. Next season will have to do I guess, she better appear then or I will not be pleased and I will desise her.
Dawn making a appearance on Angel would be class, she could inform of us how Buffy is, etc. Dawn rules!
 
I truely don't think they would bring Dawn to Angel, atleast for a couple of eps. Because she was brought into the show after Angel left. So they really don't have any relation ship with him. And she doesn't have any relationship with anyone els except for Spike. So IMO I believe that would kinda be pointless. They would need to bring some one thats pretty much been involved with like Spike, Angel, Wesley. Or they could call 😛

Back on topic, I hope they bring Buffy back for atleast 2-3 episodes this season or next. Either way I'd be happy. I would really like to see Willow too. 😀
 
Um well the writers have already proven that you dont need to have any connection to Angel or anyone on the show except Spike by bringing in our first guest star who has never met anyone from Angel.
 
I hope she comes back next season, but I hope she knows how many Buffy fans converted to Angel to see her. I dont particularly enjoy watching Angel, but I love Buffy. I started watching Angel for Spike and hopefully some Buffy stars, but I cant seem to stay away the whole episode. I think the only times I'll watch Angel again is like when someone from Buffy comes over.
 
good for her I mean eventually she will need to branch out and be more than just Buffy or else she will become Bella Lagosi and nobody wants her to become that
