Gellar wants to be Bond

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Buffy in the long-running Vampire Slayer TV series and star of the coming The Grudge, wants to follow Pierce Brosnan as the next 007.

The star says: "I don't see why Bond shouldn't be played by an actress. Everybody else seems to be talked up for the role but so far no female has been considered!"

And Gellar isn't the only one to want to follow Pierce Brosnan. Canadian actor Jim Carrey has become an American citizen, so he can vote in the coming presidential election, and follows in the footsteps of the Irishman.

They'd probably pick a Brit (for authenticity's sake) but I still don't see why they couldn't have a female Bond. They already have a female M for srying out loud!
 
Well Dougray Scott (Ever After) is the next James Bond.

Personally I think Peirce was the best next to Connery.

As for a female James Bond, I don't think so because James Bond is the smooth mysterious man who makes us go weak at the knees.

Sarah would be good as a Bond girl as they kick ass or as a bad Bond Girl.
 
Yeah I could just see it... Tiny little Sarah climbs up onto a barstool at the casino and orders a martini shaken not stirred. A handsome stranger sits at the stool next to her and pulls out a cigarette. Sarah has her pearl handed lighter handy and lights the smoke for him.

Handsome Stranger: Hi, I'm Dick...Dick Reddy.

Sarah: Of course you are.

Handsome Stranger: And you are?

Sarah: Bond. Jane Bond.

She'd look cute in the white tuxedo too. 🙂
 
Personally I think Peirce was the best next to Connery.

Personally, I thought that all of the other Bonds were better than Brosnan. At least Connery, Moore, Lazenby and Dalton all had their own styles. Brosnan simply copied everyone else in my eyes.
 
Dougray Scott is just one of the names that have been added to the list. There has been nothing official released on any of the sites, also he is a native of Fife (like myself) and when Scottish actors are mentioned in anything its reported in all our news and our Scottish papers, and there has been nothing.

Personally I think that Gerard Butler would be good. I prefer the Scottish accent on bond, and although I can't stand Connery (for reasons I won't go into) he was the best Bond.
 
No they haven't chosen a new Bond yet but my friend is a HUGE bond fan. and i've been saying to her that i think they should have a female Bond for a while and not even call her Bond (Actually maybe she could be his daughter as he has had a LOT of women over the years)
 
What happened with that Halle Berry Bond spinoff of the Jinx character they were talking about doing?
 
It is still a possible film.But it's up to Halle to decide.Halle is very busy.She has many characters to choose from.Storm, Jinx, Catwoman...It's up to her to choose one of them to continue with.But right now she's busy.I read this thing in an article, a few months ago.
