Sarah Michelle Gellar to Shoot Revolver

The Grudge star Sarah Michelle Gellar is attached to another supernatural thriller called Revolver, for Rogue Pictures. Asif Kapadia (The Warrior) will direct.

The story follows a tough, successful saleswoman whose vivid nightmares drive her to investigate the mysterious death of another young woman 25 years earlier.

Adam Sussman wrote the script for the film which does not have a start date yet.

Gellar's Revolver

News of Sarah Michelle Gellar's next film project.

Variety reports that Gellar has signed on to star in Revolver for Rogue Pictures.

In the supernatural thriller she will play a tough saleswoman who, after a spate of nightmares, investigates the death of a woman 25 years earlier.

Also coming up is a sequel to The Grudge, although Gellar hasn't yet signd on to reprise her role.

Personally, we'd like to see her in a lovely costume drama with a nice

Can we say "type-cast"?

Too much supernatural stuff.

Yeah she is working real hard to get over that Buffy image, let me tell you.

She really needs to steer away from supernatural thrillers and romantic comedies. Have you seen Simply Irresitable?

Do some drama, your good at it! Or maybe an indie piece that will garner some praise.

But it is gonna be so hard to reach that level of critical praise that was attained by Scooby Doo.
 
She did Cruel Intentions which was different, people need to realise shes good at everything (except musicals but thats her words not mine, I think shes okay)
 
I'm happy to see her do it. I would love to see her reprise her Grudge role as well! Thanks for the info!
 
sounds alright to me. i'll have to wait for some teaser trailers for a better opinion though.

Too much supernatural stuff ? I can't say that I agree. Genre work can be wonderful like the Sixth Sense or it can be dreadful like Hellraiser.

An indie is fine if it appeals to the actor but there are a lot of junkie indies out there.
 
I'm longing to see the grudge, but it will probably take a very long time untill it will be at the cinemas here in sweden, that sucks.

I like Sarah in Cruel intentions she's just magic, and the film isn't that bad to. I even like her in Scobby doo!

I can imagen it's pretty hard to get ride of her buffy image after 8 year as the slayer, but it's ok for me, sarah will anyway always be Buffy the vamyre slayer!
