Why is he no longer on board?

His season 8 and 9 artworks are unmatched.

Also his artworks started the whole thing and he was handpicked by Joss Whedon.
 
Oh god I thought his style was awful. Large heads on small bodies giving many characters a child like feel to them. *shudder*

I so prefer the artist we have now.
 
I agree - Georges is my favorite artist from the comics. It was so wonderful to see him working in real life, to see his technique. I'd love for him to come back and do some alt covers - that way I'd actually get to enjoy them, since I'm not reading the comics anymore, lol.
 
I didn't care much for him; I prefer Isaacs and Levens. By the way, I know absolutely zilch about the comic world - are there many women drawing comics?
 
I prefer Rebecca Issacs to GJ- although I don't hate his style or anything. I just like that Issacs nails some of the character looks.

What I don't like about GJ are the wrinkles and veins in every character. Was it suppose to mean the characters are old enough or something? But the actual actors don't have so many of them even in 2015...
