German Lessons

That was very good! The only mistake there is one that even many native speakers make colloquially!

To be perfect it should be "weil das Wetter grau und bewölkt ist". (all the damn change of verb position rules... I know German grammar is hell! )

I did it right? REALLY?!

*sniff* I'm so proud of me!

Isn't it like you're heritage or something?
Besides, maybe German will become the new cool thing all the hot chicks dig 😉

Ich bin sehr müde. Ich denke es ist weil das Wetter ist grau und bewölkt.

Ich auch. Mein Sohn war sehr unruhig die ganze nacht.

Ich habe ein pony

Und ich habe ein Pferd. Hah.

If anyone feels like correcting me, it's greatly appreciated. I do not take offense easily, so there's no need for kid leather gloves. (Ich habe versucht, die Sazte in Deutch zu schreiben, aber das kann ich heute nicht machen.)

And you're calling your skills rusty? No way! Kid gloves or not would hardly make a difference with you. 🙂

Sure, there are a handful of minor spelling mistakes (the only really bad one is that it should be "Sätze" instead of "Sazte"), but your grammar is excellent!

Oh, but you don't know how long I was thinking to get that fairly right : erm : The funny thing is that I understand German reasonably well, and my brain believes that I can still speak it. But when I open my mouth my German is all muddled with English words. It's as if my mind just makes up a new language called Non-Norwegian.

Norway! Yay! I'm trying to learn Norvegian ;) Love it so far =D
My german is a bit rusty, but...

Ich muss sagen dass Ich finde Spike auf Deutch merkwürdig.Er hat ein sehr seltsam Stimme

^ Not looking anything up, I got that you find Spike in German . . . disturbing? Because he has a very something.

merkwürdig should be the swedish "märkvärdig" I'm guessing. That's any help? 😉 But if it's disturbing then I'm way wrong. Stimme is voice isn't it? And since the german version is dubbed I guess she likes the german version too. Or don't like at all.

I got "disturbed" only from context, not from the word. It was a wild guess.
Merkwürdig is strange. Disturbing is a bit too strong. And he has a very weird voice.

He really does, btw. I watches some scenes with Cangel 😉

Anyway, wie geht's? Ich verstehe Deutsch, weil ich viel deutsche Musik höre (Rock und Metal. Nicht Schlager. Rammstein FTW!) aber wenn ich etwas sagen muss, I totally freeze up. Ausserdem, die Grammatik ist total verrückt. Ich meine, Dativ? Wechselpräpositionen? Wer braucht das denn?

man gewöhnt sich an alles, auch am Dativ. LOL
Well even if is this thread is old-fashion, I think that german is the most difficult language on earth and without a real teacher you won't get a chance to understand what we talk about!!
But I was really happy to see that some of you were really interest in it!!
