In Get it Done, when they find Chloe's body and then the First appears as Chloe, she reiterates what Buffy said in private to Willow about the girls not all making it. It seems like a plot hole to me. I mean how did the first hear this? And if it could hear that, why didn't it do something to combat Buffy's final plan that ultimately beat it down?

Good Point Cordelia!!!

I never really thought about this. I would assume it must be a plot hole that was overlooked by everyone involved.

I believe the First liked to give the impression that it was Omniscient, but was far from. It will have known what Buffy had said because it eaves dropped. Maybe it even knew about the Slayers, but lets face it, why should that bother it...an Army(Ok send 25 troops too Baghdad and see if that equates an ARMY) of slayers, around 25 plus the others, your looking 35 personnel in total, against an Army of thousands of not Vampires BUT Turok-Han....i see no reason to be worried. The Downfall to the Firsts Plan was that instead of Following Buffy it Followed Spike, so it didnt get the full dealy on what the Amulet could do.....Plus The First interuppted with the plans of The SP's didnt it......so they may have masked knowledge of what the amulet can do.....obviously this is just supposition, but i cant believe(my world will literally fall apart if i do) that Joss would allow such a gaping hole in something he missed but FANS picked up......i mean this isnt Xander holding an egg-cup in one hand then cut back and its a razor blade..........

I would agree with DDLM I think the first was not afraid of Buffys Army, it had no reason to be, and It did not know what the amulet would do, the good guys didn't even know.

Why should The First have been afraid? The potentials-turned-Slayers were starting to drop like flies, it was only a matter of time before the Turok-hans overran them. Plus what Dia said, The First had no idea what the amulet would have done. Although he should have known it would do something.

This was something that I never thought about. I wonder if The First had another 'worker' infiltrating behind enemy lines; another thing that we didn't get to see. That would make the most sense, because I agree that TFE would not be able to just 'spy' on Buffy. As Cordelia said, if TFE could do that, then it would've just bundled up the plans before they happened.
