As some of you may know, Lous little dog Sushi is very ill. Since not all of us have fb I thought I would make a thread for us to send our well wishes to Sushi and keep Lous family in our thoughts.

AW! You guys got me all teary eyed again!
For an update.....
Basically, she's got an abdomen full of pus. (pretty sounding, huh?) She swelled up kinda like that girl in Willy Wonka. The first vet said it would be $3000 to fix her up.
Luckily, we found a vet this morning that would do it for $500. Still, QUITE a stretch for something we weren't expecting, but I suppose we'll have to find a way. It's more than half our mortgage.
But, obviously, since she's famous enough to warrant her own thread, I'm a little abnormally attached to her and couldn't bear to spit out the words, "Put her down".
So, we're waiting to see how it goes from here. The vet said they'd call around two with a progress report and to tell us if anything more weird has come up.
She had lost her fever by this morning, which is a GREAT thing.
I'm still terrified, but feeling better after 6 cups of coffee (watch out for me, I don't usually drink much more than water and maybe a can of soda a week). I'm just happy I didn't have to put her down first thing. I'll worry about the bill later.
Is it 2 yet?

One of the first thing I heard besides her being ill was that there was no chance of surgery since the cost for a surgery was so high. But even if it's still a lot of money at least it's not as bad as before. And good news about the fever. Lets keep those good news coming. I hope everything works out as well as it possibly can. :hug:
