Get Well Soon Sushi!

So, i have no life basically and Lou mentioned she liked E cards, but i had no idea how they worked...my computer knowledge is very limited!!!....anyway i decided to try something, and make a video of my own for Lou and Super~Sushi, Apparently i have to show all of you too 😛

OH!! But stop once the music stops, because then it's just weird, horrible noise that hurts your ears...i have no idea where it came from..

Hey everyone! I thought it would be a good time for an update.
Sushi's home. She still feels REALLY rough. She is eating and drinking....just not so much with the actual moving. But, she's always been a little spoiled, so I don't have a problem bringing her food and water to her.
She seems a little bit better today, but not all that much. So, I called the vet to make sure it's okay for her to be so sluggish. I'm not totally comforted, because I'm not sure they listened to me. Mainly because they told me to make her walk it off. Which is one thing if she's just being lazy, it's another if she just plops down and refuses to move. I'm not gonna drag her around by the neck.
But, oh well, I'll take her back outside here in a bit and see if I can get her to walk more. I DO like watching her walk. They clipped the hair on her legs and when she walks, it looks like they cut off her legs, added sticks and then put fuzzy boots on the end of the sticks.
Surely I'll be able to get a picture of her walking soon. It's hilarious!

Thanks again, you guys. I know I've been a little wackier than usual this week and you've gone FAR over and above to be supportive and help. I have NO doubt Sushi wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for you guys.
Only ONE of my RL friends even bothered to call and she's the dog sitter and my own family didn't even offer the kinda help you guys did.
You're a big giant group of the BEST people in the world and I'm honored to know you.

Lou! I'm so sorry to hear that news. Deeply sorry. I can't even think of anything to say to make it better. I'll be praying to all the Gods for you.

/me sneaks in with an update, FINALLY!
Sushi looked a wee bit better today....but this evening after "Thursday Night With The Parents" she looked LOTS better. Of course, it was the first time she'd seen the kids all day too. They always cheer her up.
But, she almost got up the stairs TWICE doing pretty well. Not perfect, but lots better than the last two days.
She also is eating like a HORSE. And when I took her outside, she almost trotted to keep up with Eva. Which is lots better than her Molasses Mosey With Frequent Breaks To Lay Down And Rest that she's been doing.
I think she's ON THE MEND!

We got her to sit up tonight for a pic of her stick legs and fuzzy boots.

And then even MORE amusing....
When we take her out, the mosquitos ATTACK her little bald legs within seconds. In just the time it takes her to walk into the grass and pee, they're just black with bugs.
They seem to avoid her tummy for the most part, and I'm not sure why...or maybe they just hide where I can't see them. But, her poor legs were getting bit and seemingly bugging her the most when we'd bring her in.
So, I made her some leg warmers! She seems pretty proud of them! (sw)

We tried to find Eva's tie dyed socks from when she was a baby, but we only found one. (And that in itself is a miracle since it's been almost 7 years since she wore them)

She seems to like it better than bare legs...like she somehow thinks the socks don't look as weird as the stick legs with furry boots. What can I say? She was raised in a house where weird is cool!

Sushi is back at the vet today.
She, somehow without hardly moving for over a week, managed to pop her stitches wide open. It would seem the wound hadn't healed much at all.
So, they claim they have to put her back under to stitch her back up.
I'd do just about anything to keep her from being put back under, but the only other option was to leave the wound open and have it heal in "a few months" and take the chance of infection.

I am not happy.

Awww nooooo.. SUSHI!

I wouldn't risk infection either, Lou. It seems like the right thing to do. I'm sure it will all go well, Sushi is a brave bear.
