Seriously, what the hell? I don't listen to his music, I don't hate him or anything, I have no reason to. But he's so annoying, because he's constantly on the news (on the Internet, that is). And he's not on the news for selling out a show in 30 minutes or releasing an awesome new album or whatever, he's on the news for throwing money around in a strip club and being arrested for DUI or doing drugs on the tour bus (and probably giving money to his friend for taking the fall).
Dude, why don't you do something else to get some media attention? Give a hundred thousand dollars to charity or something, you seem to have the money. If you don't get your fricking sh*t together, you're gonna OD or die in a car accident or something, I'm sure of it.

OK, phew! Rant over. I needed that. 😛
Anyway, does anybody has anything to say about this? Or is it just me and I'm overreacting?

I don't care a thing about the kid, but isn't that really the media's blame and the people who keep eating this kind of stuff up. Its a cultural thing he wasn't the first and he won't be the last

Sure, you're right. Normally, I never give a damn about this kind of stuff. It's basically the same with Miley Cyrus and her weird videos and everything, and most of the other teen pop stars. And I'm sure the media is to blame. It's probably more the media's fault than the celebrities'.
But I just needed to say something.

I don't really care about what people do, each to their own and all that, and if he wants to throw his money away on drugs, putting his life at risk by speeding while on drugs and over the limit, then fair play to him, it's only his life he's putting at risk.

But the SECOND he puts someone else's life at risk, that's when someone should step in and tell him, 'no, enough is enough'. But the thing is, yes, he's be arrested now, but does anyone actually think he's going to go to jail for this? He could have killed himself, the people he was with and anyone who just happened to pass. And he'll get off with a slap on the wrist and community service like all those other celebrities. It's just not right.

The worst thing I've seen about this, though, was a thing running around Tumblr where his fans are 'getting together' to go out 'DUI'ing' to show how much they 'support Justin' because 'like, they can't give DUI's to ALL of us'.

Yes, I promise you, they can. They either don't know what a DUI is or they're all profoundly ignorant.

A lot of kids do crazy things & mess up quite a bit when they're his age. The only difference is when celebrities do it, it's all over the news & tabloids. He probably does need some help but the media doesn't help any. And from what I've heard, he doesn't have very good parents so it's going to be hard for him to turn his life around without good people there to support & help him. I don't care for him as a music artist or anything but he's still a human being & some people are just cruel about it.

I agree, stupidity does not warrant cruelty

And from what I've heard, he doesn't have very good parents

His father was apparently the one who started the drag race when he was arrested and Justin told the police - when asked what kind of anti-depressants he was on - that he took 'whatever pills his mother gave him'.

Justin Bieber is a kid acting out for attention, just like Miley Cyrus. The problem with both of them is that, because they have grown up in the public eye, they have been surrounded with people all their lives who just want to be near the limelight, so they enable this kind of behavior and go along with it. Both of them need good handlers around them to say "NO, this is not the kind of behavior you need to be doing."
I understand that all kids go through their wild phases, but unfortunately, if you're a celebrity you have to work extra hard to make sure that this kind of stuff doesn't come back to haunt you. I did some hellaciously wild shit in my early 20's, but no one was following me around with a camera to document it, either.

I think it's insane people are calling for him to go to rehab, he doesn't need rehab, his parents need to spank him and ground him. The only reason he'd go to rehab will be to help his career, his management will paint it as a fresh start.

Everything he's done up till the drunk driving has been the blown out of proportion by the media, it's all been loads of little stuff (except the whole monkey thing, that was just cruel), but drunk driving is different and I guess the $20,000 damages he did to someone house.

The drug stuff isn't really a big deal, a lot of people experiment with that kinda stuff at that age.

But I dont think him a Miley Cyrus should be in the same boat, she's acting out for her age, shouldn't be a problem with that. I could be wrong, dont tend to keep up with this stuff unless its shoved in my face, but her worst offence has been twerking at the MTV movie awards right?

Bieber exactly like Lohan, Mileys parents (or dad anyway) is famous and rich, dont need their kids, Lohan and Biebers parents seem like the worst! Both just seem to sponge off their kids and don't mind the trouble as long as they keep getting money. It doesn't come across to me, that is what's happening with Miley Cyrus, she's just getting "raunchier" the same with Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears did as their careers continued. Biebers dad taking him out for drinks after his son got a DUI is crazy, and helping your son, in anyway, to drag race while intoxicated is a level of crazy I dont understand.

I'm sorry, but sympathy and attention are wasted on this guy. spend your time worrying about other things.
I'm not going to pay attention about another child star crashing and burning.

It's not about money, it's about upbringing- look at Daniel Radcliffe, guy doesn't have to do another day of work in his life he's so rich, instead he's still makes movies, not going off the rails.
Does he get any credit. No, but Biebers screaming fans are falling over themselves to make allowances for him.

This. People might give Miley Cyrus crap for being too wild, but honestly what has she done that was so awful. I for one think that Miley Cyrus is a very intelligent woman. What she has decided to do with her career, whether you like it or not, is working great for her. What JB is doing right now is completely out of line and putting people in danger. It's not acting outrageous (like Miley), it's downright stupidity. And yes, the parents are definitely to blame here.

Exactly. I feel like Miley knows what she's doing. Justin's career is spinning out of control.
Just to set the record straight, I never said that Miley Cyrus and Bieber belong in the same category. I'm not familiar with either of their work. Both of them just get so much media attention for anything they do, and it's really annoying to me. That's what I meant. I'm sorry if I upset or confused anybody.

ya didn't mean you either :) what I said was a general statement
Eh, he's a 19 year old kid who had the whole world and freeom handed to him at a very young age....of course he's going to make mistakes. Would anyone really expect anyless?

People get way to worked up over him.

Completely agree, but in this case, drag-racing drunk is more than just a teenager's mistake
