Getting back into Angel - where to pick up? (Please help)

A few years ago, I started watching Angel. I had a trouble getting into it, it didn't seem to have the fun or quirkiness of BtVS and considering it starred Cordelia and Angel (my two least favourite characters from Buffy) I had a hard time with it, but but I found it more or less watchable and eventually I got into it. As other characters were introduced I grew to really enjoy it. Anyway after a while, life stuff took over and didn't have time to watch it and I never really bothered getting back into it.

But I recently rewatched Buffy seasons 1-7 and now I want to get back into Angel but I have no idea what season/episode I stopped watching. I really don't want to start again from the beginning because I had such a hard time getting into it before. I'd rather start from where I left off but I'm not sure where that was! My clearest memory is Druscilla and Darla being set on fire though I'm sure I watched a few more episodes after that. If anyone can tell me what episode this was I'd be grateful so I can go read a few episode guides, hopefully not spoil myself too much, and find out roughly where I was up to 🙂

Also if anybody here could fill me in on the storyline up to this point I'd be very grateful 🙂

That was S2E11 Redefinition. Seasons 2 and 3 of Angel are really good, so you definitely should keep watching from there.

Hmm... Well here's your options, in my opinion:
A. Start from the beginning.
B. Start at The Trial, 2.09, on season 2. (The Trial, is a sort of prelude to Reunion/Redefinition)
C. Watch select episodes from S1 and start at S2.

See, only half of the season. 🙂 All episodes mentioned are worth the time, believe me. And it'd make a nice refresher of S1.

This is just my opinion.. Seems like a good idea to me though. 🙂
