Getting back on track

In the absence of Jenny, I though I'd help get this discussion group back on track as best I can!

The recent conversations have revolved around season premieres and finales. They were not finished, so please look for them and post in the threads. I will post them ASAP.

Give some ideas of topics that you would like to discuss. What sounds good to you? We could discuss certain arcs or relationships, just random episodes in general. Whatever you all want to do!

I think we should discuss the Pylea arc. I mean there are a bunch of people who have mixed feelings about it. Also how about the whole thing with Spike oining the cast and how he was written into the show. And I'm always open to discussing Cangel 😀

Pylea would be definitely interesting.

There is also:
-Cangel
-Fred transformation
-Cordelia's transformation
-the return of Darla
-Connor

and so much more!

I think we should discuss Episode Placement and its contribution to the Season.

For example, Season 1 Episode 9 - Death of Doyle.
So Early in and we lose a character that with hindsight could have been one of the most 'workable' characters for that show as a means to show the distance between Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.
After we lose Doyle, we do slightly revert to a Buffy feel as the main characters are ALL Buffy alum and even the guest stars in the big eppys are Buffy characters.

Or Season 5 episode 13(?) - The one after Cordy's Death.
Why We Fight has a sombre, maudlin feel to it as a means to show Angel is inwardly mourning the Death of the woman he loved.
Its actually a great episode when you come to watch it out of sync with the season, however it feels wrong when you watch the season as a whole.
For me, it took quite a while to gather a sufficient pace to season 5 then after the rollercoaster of You're Welcome, it just seemed to fall a bit flat.
Granted it was likely done purposefully, I just feel that episode should have been pre-Lineage for pacing of the season.

We're going to probably have a couple of topics going in here at a time. That way it'll keep things moving and interesting.
