Giles' great aunts - age, lifestyle, etc?

I was wondering about the depiction of Giles' great aunts in this season.

They are supposed to be witches who have kept themselves magically young - they look like they're mid-to-late-20s, but how old are they supposed to really be? My guess was 80 to 110 or something, if Giles' real age would have been about 50 now.

Also, I was wondering, if someone were able to keep themselves indefinitely young like that, do you think they'd really continue to want to spend all of their time living like 20-something party girls, as they do? I mean, if it were possible in real life, do you suppose people would do that? I was wondering if an eternally youthful life centered on fashion, parties, drinking and clubbing is something anyone would actually do - hard to imagine the mindset. 🙂

Lavinia and Sophronia would be a bit over 100 years old.

I guess they have just the right mix of shallowness, vanity and open-mindedness to enjoy this lifestyle... probably mixed with a heathy dose of fear of getting old.

What's unusual is their ability to adapt to the changing tastes of the younger generations. Most 100-year-olds wouldn't have much interest in going to a Morrissey concert, for example.
