Rupert Giles made the "20 heroic librarians that saved the world" list

Rupert Giles is the school librarian at Sunnydale High, but he's also got a secret "” he's a Watcher, who guides Buffy on her journey to become the savior of the world. And he sometimes rolls up his sleeves and goes out to save the world on his own. Not to mention, Giles has another secret on top of that one "” he's also Ripper, a ruthless, maybe slightly psycho, former wizard who's not afraid to get his hands a bit dirty. When there are nasty things that need to be done to keep us all safe, you won't have to look further than the book stacks at the high school to find the man to do them. I'm amazed there are that many heroic librarians to be honest..
Still, Giles is definitely the kind of librarian you'd want around in a crisis. I love his dark side as well, shame it didn't come out all that much.
 
I am in complete agreement with everything that is said here so far...
I love me some Giles...in a manly, platonic way that is! Not that there's anything wrong with the other...I'm just sayin...

To the best of my knowledge I'm also the only "shipper" of Royce...

WOW! I never knew there were that many librarians (I almost said watchers. lol) who saved the world! That's kinda cool. And I didn't know that Superman's real mom was a librarian. Cool fact. 😀 haha
 
As soon as I read this I was like "Wait. There's other heroic librarians that saved the world?" lol 🙂
