Giles with Jenny?

do you think that jenny would be with giles if angelus didn't kill her? or he was still mad at her cause she didn't tell him that she knew about the curse? or... what do you think that could have happened at the episode band candy ( with jenny alive) between giles and joyce?

well i think the fact that giles went upstairs with a smile on his face with a bottle of wine showed he had intentions of forgiving and moving on. But unfortunately he was greeted by Jennys dead corpse rather than the horny Jenny he'd perhaps been hoping for...

However personally I think Giles and Joyce still would've hapened, the effects of the candy and the relationship between the two characters would be too great to stop it happening even if Jenny and Giles were still together.

I do feel that there relationship would've continued but for Giles haracter I think he needed to have the season four sense of no place, and not having the role he used to. I think if Jenny had been with him, it would've affected the characters transformation. Plus I couldnt really see Jenny as a long term scooby gang member, I think she would've left, perhaps following Angel to L.A.....who knows

i agree with WHTGTV that that her death was part of giles' evolution, and kind of was important to that. plus, with the whole 'doom to buffyverse relationships' thing, i dont think they would have lasted. but i did like them as a couple; i think they were sweet. do you guys think they're a good couple in the general opinion?

Yes, for sure, he would've stayed with her as long as Joss would let him, but of course she would die or something to that effect at some point anyway.

Definetly. They were a great couple... I wished they'd at least lasted a little longer than they did. But it didn't, so oh well.

I dont think she would have stayed with Giles. Plus as many of you have said, it would have stopped the tranformation of Giles's character.

I definitely thought that they were an adorable couple, and the scene in which Giles is met with Jenny's body is positively heartbreaking. And I'm also going to go with the general consensus and say that even if Angelus had not killed her, she most likely would have died eventually anyway, because for her to stay alive would mean something would have gone right in the Buffyverse.

And we all know that that's absolutely unacceptable. 😉

I think they could've made it for awhile, but because Jenny was so freaked out by the events in 'The Dark Age', I don't think she would have been able to lead the Scooby Life.

And I totally agree with a lot of people, It is better that she died.

It was Joss giving us what we need, not what we want.

i dont know about that. a lot of them were a bit freaked out by it at first. willow and xander had a hard time wrapping their heads around it, especially when they started getting more involved in the mystical world, being attacked, influenced by spells, etc. and they all had a hard time dealing with death-by-mystical-causes, such as buffy's own death (the first one) that freaked her out, and then jenny's. also, it seemed jenny was kind of becoming okay with it. she started out as part of that world anyway by being from the gypsy clan. plus, she was a techno-pagan. even if she didnt realize how risky the world of evil was, i think she'd get used to it, and she has more of a means of defense. also, she got back together with giles a while after 'the dark age', and tried to help restore angel's soul again. if she and giles did break up, i dont think that would be why. either she would have died, as she did, or some other reason.

That's true about them all being freaked out. I think they were great together, and it sucks that she had to die.

Gilles would of forgiven Jenny because he loved her. Band candy would of been an interesting ep with Jenny in. I dont think he would have gone with Joyce though.

i think Giles and Jenny together were really great and really sweet.i think they would of lasted a little while longer if Angelus hadn't killed her as Jenny was able to get over the fact that she was freaked out about what Giles used to be like when he was younger.Plus you saw that Giles had forgiven her for not telling them what she knew about Angel as he was smiling and happy when he thought that she was upstairs waiting for him.so yea i think they would have lasted a little while longer if Angelus hadn't killed her.
although Jenny being killed at some point by something was kind of inevitable as people are always being killed in Buffy,that's part of their doom and gloom factor that they have which makes it so good.its like you dont really want that person to die but it fits so well and makes Buffy even better.
at least thats what i think. anyone else agree??

DEFFINATELY!!! They were in love and with the whole giles/joyce thing it probably wouldn't have happened. They would've made something with giles/Jenny acting like kids and doing what giles/joyce did. So...yeah!:tongue2:

I think he would be with her for sure! His happiness at the candles and romantic loveliness when he comes home to find Jenny dead 🙁 Poor thing!
