Has anyone been watching recently? In the past year? Ever????

For all of the people that watch what do you think of a Rory/Logan pairing? I think it would be cute. I like Rory/Jess the best, but hey, we take what we get.
Also Luke/Lorelai...awwwww! It's just so cute.
I kinda think they're running out of ideas for this season, but I still love it all the same. What do you think?

I used to watch Gilmore Girls for a while, I love their dialogues, they way they speak is funny and great. But I stopped watching when Jess left, after that I have seen some (ok quite a lot of) episodes, but not all of them and I don't know what's going on right now... About Lorelai/Luke, I have only seen the episode in which Lorelai realizes that she has been dating Luke for a while, and they kiss.. But I like them together, I had been waiting for that to happen...

I know, after Jess left i didn't want to watch anymore (but i did). Luke and Lorelai took FOREVER to finally get together 🙂.
Right now Dean just basically dumped Rory (again) and Rory just met this Yale student named Logan. (Super cute...to me anyway)

Honestly I probably only watch it for Alexis, but it's a good show.

I kinda like the idea how Rory is finally becoming the party-drunken Ivy League rich girl. This should make for an interesting season, since Rory is fitting into the life that Lorelai ran away from.

And even though the grandparents may be snobby, there interesting

I totally agree. A drunk Rory is some entertainment. But I wouldn't want Rory to take the same road as Lorelai did.
I like Emily and Richard and the plot of them splitting is pretty good.

I never liked Dean, though I liked how he changed his look in season 4, he looked a lot better and I almost didn't recognise him. (Though he could never be as good looking as Jess.)

Ah, I haven't seen drunk Rory, lol, sounds like fun, have to see that.

I usually hate it when it's about grandparents (or parents) in a show... Though the Gilmore grandparents are OK..

I know this show is quite popular in the US but I just can't get into it, i've sat and tried to watch a few eps and it bores me. As of yet i've never sat through a full one.

I started watching it, because I was always hearing about it here.

My first reaction was the stilted dialogue was mildly interesting, but was going to be irritating over the long haul. I also thought the dialogue was a bit of a Buffy rip-off, and I didn't like the way every character seemed to be talking from the same voice.

In my mind I saw this lonely, repressed, lady writer, who couldn't get a job on Buffy, sitting in front of the computer screen typing. Probably some bespectacled, 35 year old ex-arts major, in frumpy slacks and a rumpled sweatshirt, sitting there sipping coffee smiling at her clever words, and unleashing her repressed fantasies on the rest of us.

I watched it though, and the next week I watched again, and before I knew it I was totally addicted. Now I'm organizing my night around Gilmore Girls, the way I used to do for Buffy and Angel. I sit in front of the TV screen, and I go, "No Laine! Don't do it. He's totally wrong for you".

I'm so ashamed. 🙁

I agree that it is good in the same way Buffy-dialogue is, but not as good as BtVS in my opinion.

I just watched the episode where Jess is back for the wedding and he tells Rory to come with him somewhere, run away. And she just says "no no no no..", I'm starting to really dislike Rory right now.. I would have followed Jess anywhere any day.

See I didn't think Jess was good enough Rory. He was a bad influence, such a trouble maker. But hey, look who is talking.

I liked Dean in the beginning, but Rory sweetheart: If he would cheat with you on his wife, he would probably cheat with you anyways.

So I'm glad she is not with Dean anymore.

Logan seems like the new Tristan. Someone her grandparents would approve of and who would give her the life they think she deserves.

But I doubt Lorelai would like him very much.

I think this season will be about the Lorelais growing apart. Lorelai has a good stable relationship (which we foreshadowed from the first ep) and Rory has Yake and a new life.

I'm not saying I'm going to completely love Rory embracing her family's wealth, but after all those years of going to Chilton and Yale and the Friday Night Dinners and the parties, it seems like she would wind up there. And it would be so much of a change from the unmaterialistic and kind hearted Rory we first met.

Of course he isn't but he's hot and he's sweet and I do think he would be able to treat Rory right and change so that he is "worthy" her.

You really think so..? I don't think he would, I mean, although I don't like Dean, it seems like he and Rory has got some special thing..
