C'mon... I know you watch it/have seen and liked it.

I'm a straight guy and am readily willing to admit that it's one of the best-written shows I've ever seen. Loralei and Rory's witty back and forth banter never gets tiring, and it almost always humorous.

And all Supernatural fans should watch the early seasons (1-5) for Jared Padalecki, who plays Rory's first boyfriend, Dean.

Dean > Jess and Logan, btw.

My favorite characters are Loralei and Lane!

Any other fans?
 
I liked the first five seasons, the humour, dialogue and banter was great. After that they really started to f*ck everything up and I couldn't stand Rory and Lorelai by the end anymore. Agh. And that's saying something, considering that Lorelai started out as my favourite character EVER. I never liked Rory though, she was a spoiled, whiny brat who made a huge drama over the tiniest problems.

I'm a Jess girl though, I never liked Dean.
I also loved, loved, loved Max. I like Lorelai and Luke as just friends best.


Though I'm a fan of Paris and Michel. If there was a show that had them eating chocolate (or whatever it is that Michel would eat instead of chocolate) and insulting people all day, I'd watch it.
 
Haha, I love this show. Haven't seen all of it though, or in the right order! Even my boyfriend has admitted it's an extremely well written show!

Lorelai and Luke are my favourite characters, they're awesome. And I'm a Jess girl too, Dean was a bit of a doofus! And I have serious anger issues when it comes to Taylor. I cannot stand him, lol.
 
I've seen it on TV and I watched some episodes because I like Alexis Bledel. I wanted to go to Yale for a big while.

I'm a Rory girl, though. *ducks*

I agree with all of that. Except about Max, I never really liked him. I liked Lorelai with Christopher.

I used to love this show but like Mumrik said, after a while it got to a point where I couldn't stand either of them anymore. Rory got to be just obnoxiously annoying. For someone who always claimed to be so strong, confident, and sensible to go out and steal a boat with her boyfriend and drop out of college just cause some guy gave her a little criticism (which was obviously cause he didn't want her dating his son) was ridiculous. She was so used to everyone praising her for being such a genius and perfect little angel who could do no wrong, that the very first time she heard otherwise she completely lost it. After that was when I kinda lost interest in the show.

Also, I think it's funny how much the creators of the show wished they were writing for Buffy. They're both huge Buffy fans which is why they hired Danny Strong to play Paris's boyfriend (and named him Doyle), the guy who played Kirk was in 2 episodes of Angel, and Paris's last name was Gellar. A lot of the dialogue and the way the characters speak is very similar too. And that was even before they got two Buffy writers (Jane Espenson and Rebecca Rand Kirshner) to work on the show.

My favorites were Paris, Michel, and Luke. Everyone else is just too over the top, like caricatures of normal people. Paris and Michel really were too but they were a lot more entertaining.

And for the record, Jess is way better than Dean and Logan combined.
 
Just so everyone knows, the original creators left after the fifth season, hence the decline.

They are also planning a movie and are just waiting for Alexis Bledel to sign onto it.
 
Can't say that I'm a fan as such. Only watched a little here and there when it was on tv and I didn't have anything better to watch. Liked the mother though and Alexis was cute. But when it comes to storylines or couples I'm totally out of the loop. The feel I got for the show is that it's a "correct"/"safe" drama with humour which goes under the "feel good" category.
 
I really liked the Gilmore Girls, I followed it in the beginnig of the series and after that me and my aunt just got the dvds and watched through 'em. I think it is a very good show still, it's kind of like easy-listening, something that you can watch without getting too invested in.

plus the Lorelair character is fantastic. My friends were amused when that show came because they think I talk like her, which I take as a huge compliment.

Paris was great too. and aah Jess... how cute wasn't he?

I´m watching the last season on DVD now, never watched so I don´t know how it ends.
Agree that the first 5 seasons are better but don´t really hate season 6, I actually like it. Season 7 I still don´t have a opinion about it, I´m not even in the middle of it, but the Logan/Rory relationship is too changed 🙁

I´m a Logan girl... for sure not a Dean girl. I think he is the weakest character ever ¬¬

Luke and Lorelai I thought was cute in the beginning cause everybody was thinking that it should happen eventually, but then... nah, I prefer Lorelai with Christopher or Max, they have more sparks.

Nope, they actually left after the sixth season.

Ah. Still, the sixth > seventh. :P
Love the show. I haven't heard any actual proof of a film though--there have been plenty of rumors, but nothing substantial.
 
watched the entire series on dvd last year, 1st five seasons were great.


The show really started slippin the sixth season, kinda went out with a whimper IMH0.
