ok, when school's out I get bored so I decided to start watching another show and I chose Gilmore Girls, I've never really seen it, I saw a couple of episodes a few years ago but I've never followed it and I wanted to give it a real chance so I rented the first season and I just finished watching the whole thing, and I must say this might be one of the best ideas I have ever had because Gilmore Girls is a fantastic show! 😀 why haven't I been watching this until now ??

So far after seeing the first season my favorite characters are Lorelai, Luke and Sookie but I also love Paris and Mrs Kim she is so awesome she should be on more.
The dialog is crazy good, it makes every conversation a delight.

The only thing I didn't like about the first season was Chad Michael Murray, I can't deal with him, i doubt he will but I hope he won't be returning much in later seasons. Other than it was a wonderful show and a great way to spend the holidays.

I can't wait to get my hands on season 2 🙂
 
i love gilmore girls as well. although towards the end i found you could feel that amy sherman-palladino wasn't there anymore. it changed the show a little. and the series finale disappointed me (at least one particular aspect of it). don't wanna post any spoilers since you're so far away from the finale, having just watched season 1 lol
have fun though. it's definitely worth watching
 
One of my favorite shows EVER! I liked the early seasons better, but my mum has decided to buy for herself the later seasons DVDs. That's something anyway, because I borrow them from her once in a while. She didn't like that show at first, but when I made her watch the reruns for a few times, she got hooked as well.
Season 6 (I think) really sucked though, when the big fight and not talking to each other, mother and daughter. Rory has become really annoying.

And Lorelai is just the prettiest adult ever, and obviously the prettiest mother. Not just her look, she's also amazing from the inside, I love that she is so childish (and her daughter is the adult one), she's an amazing character and so well writter. It's another show that should've won an Emmy award.
 
I really like Gilmore girls. Couldn't stand lorelai though. I just wanted her to stop acting like a child. I don't like it when grown women belittle themselves. Google manic pixie dream girl and there you have the description of lorelai Gilmore in My opinion, Lol.

I loved rory though. And emily.

But if her character wasn't acting the way she does (child like), the show wouldn't be that interesting and funny. You don't see many grown ups act this way, so that's what so special about her. She's not boring. She's fun. She doesn't take things seriously unless really needed. And most importantly, she is a fun mother! She's more of a best friend than a mother. Sometimes it's important.

Great show and Username if I remember correctly Chad Michael Murray disappears sometime in the middle of s2.
 
GG is one of my favorite tv shows. It's just amazing, no doubt about it. My favorite character is Lorelai..there's no one like her (even though sometimes she just wanna make me smash her head)..Rory is a great character (she reads a lot like me) but I find her so annoying sometimes, especially when in the early seasons she was always nice to everybody..I'm more like Lorelai than Rory apart from the reading thing. The dialogue is one of the best in tv shows, it's unique and I agree, it's always delightful to watch. Gosh, I could go on hours talking about this...I'd better shut up now.

Oh, I don't know. I think they could have caught that witty repetoar without her having to act like a child. I guess we have to agree to disagree 🙂 I agree about her not being boring though. 🙂
 
Gilmore Girls is the reason I started watching Buffy, after they referenced it. It is one of the best shows I've ever watched.
Lorelai is one of the best characters....second to Jess. I loved Jess. I think Lorelai was still a responsible parent to Rory, but had childish tendencies that made her endearing.

And did anyone else notice how Rory changed for the worst after sleeping with Dean?

yes!! but i couldn't stand dean anyway. even before they slept together
apart from lorelai, i think emily is my favourite character. my favourite scene ever is in season 7 when she gets pulled over for talking on the phone while driving and she goes off on a rant about how its none of the cop's concern what she does in her car and he thinks shes drunk and wants her to do a breath test and she looks at him with this dead serious face and goes "Young man, I don't know where that's been but I can say with absolute certainty it won't be going anywhere near my mouth".

...i probably laughed for at least 10 minutes straight. pure gold XD...and yes, im laughing again right now just thinking about it
 
I absolutely loved Emily and Richard because they reminded me of my own grandparents. Haha. I could totally see it. I think that's what amuses me. It's like watching my grandparents on tv.lol.

My grandma is so like Emily. I think it's almost scary.

Anyway, I love Gilmore Girls. I really do think its such an underrated show. It is so witty and incredibly well written. Lorelai and Luke are my favourites by far, I adore them both and together they are pure magic! I much prefer the adults side to the teenage stuff. I found Rory more difficult to like as the show went on. I struggled with Lorelai when it came to Christopher cos I don't like him much but it's a stellar show and if you haven't seen it yet, don't let the premise fool you, give it a shot!

LOL, I LOVED Chad's character in Gilmore Girls. I'm so sad he's not returning. Finding that out totally ruined my day.

I think Lorelai is awesome, but Paris is so far one of my favorite characters ever, I love her! and Kirk! 😀

I'm in season 2 right now and, I don't like the new character that was brought in this season, Jess. I don't see the appeal.

this had me laughing out loud for a long time, I don't remember which episode but it's after Richard's been retired and Emily is sick of having around all the time.

Lorelai: What happened?
Emily: He's going to join my water aerobics class.
LorelaiI: What?
Emily: He bought some new swim trunks today. He's out of control.
 
Aw, I loved Jess. I really warmed to him and I hope you do too. He's a bit of a pain in the ass but he's so witty, I love it! Also, hot guy who's well read? SOLD!

I sometimes found Paris amusing but for the most part she really irritated me. I didn't really like any of Rory's friends apart from Lane.
