shell- ive also startd watching it over here. im really enjoying it, its too happy-happy and stuff though. do u guys know what season is starting in the US this fall? cos its only season 1 over here. why is it shown on the Nickelodeon over here? it would be better on sky one , livingtv or e4.

i just watched the ep 3x21- here comes the son... the ep when Jess leaves Stars Hollow, to go see his father, and i think i might have watched if it haden't been cancelled, but not beacuase of jess, but his step-mom... she was sorta cool, and his dad... a big child, and that step sister who just sat inside closets... i might have watched!! 😀
I liked Jess at first and I wasn't sure who I wanted Rory with. But when she started dating Jess I got sick of his bitchyness and it felt like his character development just stoped. And he was SUCH AN @SS! I hope if he does come back that he will change a bit. He just got so boring so fast...

i agree with that... didn't like that much either and they never got him an new side they just used the same and the same.. that's why i would have liked to see his spin off because of the new fam and not him...
i didn't like dean either... i think he's like GG's answer to Riely.. i even think they look a like, i don't like any of them, and that whole thing with him being with lindsey and protecting rory (which is okay, because it's like a big brother sorta thing, but if dean was my boyf. who got in to a fight over another girl, i would be so PISSED, so i think that he would have thought of that if he were a real person, and it's not a good sign that he would just atact the boyf. of an ex like that... instead of talking it over) and i'm glad they broke up and that he's getting married and all, cos i DON'T want to see them back together...
if jess comes back, then i also hope that he's different and that they give him more sides, not just the I-read-alot-of-books-i'm-smarter-than-you-all-i-don't-need-to-go-to-school-angry-person-who-can't-talk-about-it-and-feels-misunderstood kida thing.. they need to open that puppy up😀

Here's something I wonder about sometimes: In general, do you think the female characters in Gilmore girls are more likable than the male characters?
It seems that way sometimes. It's not outright evident yet, but I think leaning too far in that direction would be a mistake.

i don't know if the female characters are more likable... like Lorelai have this one big enoying thing! that she can be so hard on her parents sometimes, and she'll just handg on it and hang on it... and it gets old!
they do have good male characters on the show too!
Luke, taylor(just cos the luke taylor hate game...) kirk, michele... rory's grandpa...

Well, a woman did create that show - she seems to make the girls more fast paced, and more talkative. I don't think any of the guys on the show have a real sense of humor that most people can relate too. I mean, nobody can compare with Lorelai's pop culture wit.

yeah, i agree w/ what you guys said about Jess, he's gotten annoying and leaving rory was terrible of him..and Dean was really boring. I'm glad shes not really w/ either of them anymore. she needs a new more exciting, but nice, guy. hopefully she'll meet someone had Yale.
And about who's more likable..i don't know. there are good male characters, but i think theres more female characters..but i don't know, theres luke, taylor, kirk (is that his name?) dave, and other people

Luke and Kirk are the only two guys I've ever found hilarious without getting the point of annoying. Taylor pisses me off.
