The pattern on the red is pretty but the the gold is simple,stylish and shimmery,so I'd go for the gold,but it all depends on what you prefer 🙂
 
I say go with your favorite color and shape of the dress that you are most comfortable in. That's what I did for my Prom 2 years ago.
 
Actually I have an idea, is there a banner maker or anybody who is particulary good with Paint shop Pro?
I have noticed that you can do quite a lot of tricks with paint shop pros like change people colour. I remember there was a wallpaper of Buffy and someone chaged it from Blonde to Brown. What if we could do the same for the dresses, why don't we get the red dress and see how it look on the outline of the gold.
 
Ok go to DavidsBridal.com and go to there prom secton and OMG they have the best dresses (I got my homecoming dresses there for the last 2 years and Im geting my Prom Dress there too (it's not my prom but my boyfriends and I already have a dress..... here is a pic!!!

I think that it's very nice, and seems to please you, which it the most important thing.

As for the colour, based on your complexion and hair colour, I'd go with the dress you like in red.
