Give or receive?

Some like receiving better, and some enjoy the feeling of giving. Which out of the two are you?

Personally, I LOVE giving out things. I like the thought I put into it, the excitement of seeing the received person's face when they get the thing I put so much work into. The knowledge that I made them happy. It gives me more pleasure than getting something. Problem is, I like giving too much, so I always feel I don't give enough. I have to add more and more things to it.

On the real subject. It was a long time ago since I changed to loving giving more. But as younger I was selfish enough to enjoy getting more.

Hate buying presents. It's just an impossible task. How am I supposed to know what someone else wants?

Also hate getting crappy stuff that I don't need. I have enough things as it is.

I like to give homemade things (in this economy, that's most of the gifts I give..) because I am so proud of them and I like seeing how people respond, if they appreciate the effort I put into them. So yeah, I'm both selfish AND a giver!

I like giving more than receiving. I like getting things but I hate having to say 'thank you', like on Hanukkah when the whole family is there and everybody is watching you when open a present - and you have to smile and be all happy, ugh!! even if I like the present I've gotten I still can't look happy and say thank you, it's sounds so fake.. I hate that, so I prefer giving and making them feel that way instead..

I'm a giver. I rarely ever think about myself in a relationship. I always spoil her. ..... yeah Although, whether it be relationships or friendships, i do like the feeling of receiving, but i'd rather give.

I like to give and receive... but I like to give better especially when I find the prefect gift. It's the best feeling ever to know you've found the PERFECT gift and the person is going to be so unbelievably happy.
