First of all I don't see what her mom has to do with anything.. I'm sure there are plenty of people who love Brittany, but don't want to see her in a gay relathionship, so her mom not liking it is not a good argument.. Their relathionship is made for confused girls who doubt their sexuality..

I don't think there is a duet of Don't Cry For Me Argentina.. at least I didn't found it. I have only Defying Gravity duet.

Special Education aired last night, I realised I actually love this episode. Finn isn't nearly as douchey as I originally thought he was, he just didn't defend Rachel like he should've done. Anyway, I love it when Chord does that weird dance move during DDAO, when he does it he looks so proud.

Speaking of Chord, I saw a guy in college who looked EXACTLY like him, I had to do a double take. 😀

Also, PRE-ORDERED VOLUME 5. It's being released on my dad's birthday, oddly enough. I'm hoping we won't get a 3 week break again, but we did get a trailer for the Super Bowl & Valentine eps, so I'm very hopeful.

Santana. Oh my god Santana. That was... I like Bartie... but I suddenly feel REALLY bad for Santana.

And Kurt's sex talk was amazing.

Poor Sanny bear. :cry: I understand that Brittany still wanna be with Artie. But I don't understand why she pushed and pushed Santana to talk about feelings and then shot her down like that. :O I wouldn't wanna that hug too. San's speech was amazing so I can tell how much it hurts when you're top bitch of high school and you opened up for the first time and got shot down. But no, I'm not mad at Brittany or Bartie at all. Everything made sense. Now I hate Finn/Quinn more. Yuck!

I liked last night's episode OK, but there were too many songs and not enough dialogue. And WAAAYYYYY too much Holly. Seems to be a theme lately with "Glee". And I'm all about gay rights, but I'm over the fact that Ryan Murph seems to only want to feature the gay characters and their storylines.

About Holly, I think it's better than in The Substitute when she didn't help with any storylines. But yeah, she sang too much. And I think it's not Ryan M.'s fault about Brittana happening. The fans want it so bad and he gave us. But yeah, this episode is so full of gayness. But I don't mind. I like the idea of Kurt/Sam, but now I'm afraid Sam will be bi too because he gave hints in last two eps. 😱 I think if they want to do Brittana and Kurt/Blaine at the same time, they shouldn't have made Karofsky gay in the first place. Also that GAP guy story was kinda unnecessary.

Brittana. Santana.. poor Santana. I never liked Santana that much, but now.. this was the most amazing thing she has ever done in the whole show. Now, I really like her.

Did anyone see the discussion on today's episode of The View? (I can't link to it because I have less than 15 posts! I'll try to post elsewhere and come back to post the link asap.)

My biggest problem with their whole discussion is that GLEE WAS NEVER A SHOW FOR KIDS!! Am I wrong here? What on earth are 7 year olds doing watching it? It's rated PG-14, and is set in high school. So what if there's singing? Singing doesn't equal kid-friendly.

There are tons of shows on at 8pm that are not for children/families - The Vampire Diaries airs at 8pm, as does Pretty Little Liars, 90210, One Tree Hill.. all teen shows.

I think parents should be watching these shows before deciding at what age they are appropriate for their children. Maybe a few of the episodes of Glee have been child-friendly, but not many. I would never have let a child watch it (though, might have played kids a few of the song numbers, if there was an interest).

What does everyone else think?

That was the first episode where I actually liked Santana's character, she actually had a bit of depth for once. Her dynamic with Brittany is brilliant though, couldn't help but feel sorry for them both. I thought on the whole it was alright but a bit full on. You had pretty much every character (bar the Asian couple) involved in the story which made it a bit convoluted. There was also way too much Holly Holliday. The alcohol one the week before was much better IMO, but I loved the Blaine/Burt thing.

I didn't see "The View" this morning, but I will say this. Up until Season 2, I allowed my 8-year-old to watch the show with us every Tuesday. I didn't see anything that was too horribly risque for her up until Season 2. Now? She is forced to leave the room or play on the computer with headphones in her ears while "Glee" is on.
I don't think the show started out so bad but this season has been downright raunchy at times. I'm definitely not a prude, but last night I was watching Holly and the kids singing "Do You Wanna Touch Me" and I was blushing. I couldn't believe that we, as an audience, were to believe that it would ever be ok for a teacher to be encouraging a high school glee club to act like that and sing songs like that.

Up until Season 2, I allowed my 8-year-old to watch the show with us every Tuesday. I didn't see anything that was too horribly risque for her up until Season 2.

Oh really? Interesting. I've never specifically watched the show with thoughts of whether it is child-appropriate, but my 'little sister' (actually a previous nanny charge who I was a live-in for, so the whole family is like family to me) is now 9.5 and she's never been allowed to watch it. Her mom mentioned, soon after the show started, that she wouldn't let her. If I ever rewatch Season 1 I'll have to see what I think.

If you watch the pilot episode, Glee certainly never "slipped in" anything much dirtier with this episode than before or pulled a "bait and switch." Its never been a kids show. Its rated TV-14 and this episode for sure showed a "viewer discretion advised" warning before it aired, so if you are showing this to your kids and are outraged, you should be looking at the TV ratings more closely.

If your kid sees this and you didn't check the ratings, then you should call it a mistake and block it on your TV (everyone can make mistakes or forget to check the ratings), but getting outraged when the show is clearly labeled tv-14, is taking it too far in my opinion.

The show's first season included a celibacy club and a pregnant cheerleader who convinced her boyfriend she got pregnant through an accident in the hot tub. There is a whole lot to explain in there to your kids.

As for this segment, none of them watched the show it seems they were just told to comment on the controversy. They even seem to be questioning "is it a family show?" I disagree with the ones who say that everything in the 8pm hour is for kids. That certainly isn't true. I don't think you can assume that ever. With the kind of programming on tv these days, I would say you should never let your 7 year old watch a TV show without checking it out first.

Exactly my thoughts - they haven't pulled a "bait and switch".

The total segment was not in this clip, unfortunately, as I said, there was an introduction that got left out. The consensus on The View was that yes, it has marketed and portrayed until now as a child-appropriate show. So annoying when people voice opinions when knowing nothing about the topic!

I think this is where the TV-14 rating really comes in to play. Glee is a satire and isn't meant to set any sort of example. You really need to be old enough to realize that you shouldn't be taking this as an example in order to watch the show. That was clearly inappropriate and was meant to be. Will's sign saying "too much" was the brief voice of sanity during that song. So much of what goes on in the show is inappropriate, but it is really aimed at a teenage and young adult audience and it is not High School Musical.

Apparently, E4 (the channel that airs Glee over here) is thinking about not showing Sexy. 😡

Oh, and, I didn't think Do You Wanna Touch Me was that dirty (you still wouldn't let a kid see it though), I think Push It was worse. WAY worse.
