Glory goodness

Don't you just love how glamorous Glory can look? Seriously, I spent almost the whole 5th season wanting her to be on screen 'cause I just couldn't get enough of her.

The woman (or should I say the God?) kicked ass and she always managed to have great hair. She should be considered one of the best Big Bads just for that.
And even Dawn says to Buffy "I just think you're freakin' out 'cause you have to fight someone prettier than you. That is the case, right?"

Even her voice sounded all glamorous lol (no, I don't have a crush on Glory).

So, what do you guys think of Glory's style?

I think you've listed some of the many reasons why Glory is my favorite Big Bad. She was, basically, the Glamour Model of Hell Gods. I adored her clothes- I wanted all those stunning dresses she wore, and oh my god- her shoes! The shoes, the shoes! The shoe-fetishy person inside of me leaped for joy when it saw how many pretty ones she had.

Oh and do you remember her freaking huge walk-in wardrobe? It was like Barney's in her bedroom. I defy any woman to say that there isn't some part of them that really wanted that wardrobe full of clothes, shoes, coats all of which were beautifully organized and color co-ordinated.

But clothes-drooling aside, in general I just enjoyed watching Glory. She kicked the hell out of people, whilst not letting a hait fall out place (Speaking of, I loved the hair too :blush: hehe) but despite all this and being you know, evil, her insanity meant she kept a certain level of innocence and naivety that was really enjoyable. Such as when she doesn't comprehend why Buffy should be allowed to kick back, when she actually buys the ritual ingredients from Giles, rather than just killing them all and taking the stuff etc.

So yeah, I'm definitely a Glory fan- be it clothes, character, or the....wait, I was gonna say shoes, but that counts as clothes I guess. 🙂

I have a question, if somebody knows... Is it Clair's real hair? because on "Bring it On" she had straight hair. so maybe they did something to her hair either in the movie or Buffy. Which is the true hair style?

(it's just been bothering me for awhile now. I know, weird thing to be bothered by)

I love Glory.. She is just plain funny. She is like the Super-evil-fashion God. And we all love her hair...Except for Spike, who declared it Bad home perms. But he might have been faking it. Gotta love the do.

She looks FANTASTIC in btvs... and i do love the character but she just does not stand up to how good she in in btvs when she was in Bring It On....

I love the mislead of her tearing out the page in her yellowpages hoo har "Oh I'll have it all." and then she just goes and buys the stuff she needed from Giles... ha ha.

I liked Glory. I thought she was a great enemy for Buffy because she was like Buffy to the max. Buffy was the stylish, sassy "bimbo" figure turned on its head so that she kicked butt in killer shoes. She had style AND super power. Everything Buffy had, Glory had in spades: style, humor, hotness, and super powers galore. They key difference between the two was that Buffy had some humility, whereas Glory probably didn't even know the meaning of the word. Buffy knew it wasn't all about her, while Glory couldn't even be bothered with the well-being of her minions. That's why, in the end, Buffy was able to defeat Glory... Buffy had a team of well-meaning, truly inspired followers to help her and was selfless enough to give her own life for Dawn and for the world. I thought Glory a more fitting enemy for Buffy than any that had come before. The only one that was possibly a little better was Darth Willow.

I loved that scene when she just acts like a polite person. She always saying to Buffy how rude she is, it's really amusing.

And have you ever seen how cute and hilarious those names that her minions call her are?

I always define Glory when I'm bigging the show up to my friends as Paris Hilton if she tried to take over the world - only with far better style and far better looking.

I don't get the Glory hate on here - I was always under the impression she was very popular as I think she's a brilliant character. I do feel though that she is a bit weak and easy to defeat in the finale after being virtually unstoppable all season but her scenes did just bring a breath of fresh air to the show when everybody else was constantly being miserable.
