How many Hobbits (Glory's gnarly ugly Minions) were there?

I figure a couple hundred could have lived comfortably in Glory's Fortress.....err .....Apartment building.

Also, Hobbit numbers seemed to fluctuate. Did they have a vacation plan? Or, did Glory just rotate the buggers so they would not get distracted......

But, SERIOUSLY, how did such a large group of simpering, depraved, scabby, puss spewing, boot lickers manage to avoid exposure for ...... how many years ... err ... centuries ... err ... millenia were Glory and The Hobbits on Earth?

Please Advise.

Thank You.

Haha!

'Rotate you simpering rodents, you're distracting me!'

Ben is Glory's mortal 'prison' so she hasn't been on earth for centuries - otherwise Ben would have to be hundreds of years old.

I imagined that Ben popped out of his mother like any other person and Glory's 'essence' was placed inside baby Ben as he babbled in his buggy.

Maybe her minions came through when Ben was created?

My head hurts from trying to figure it out. Lol.

Part of the problem is that Glory seems to have been placed inside Ben when he was born, in the early 70s, which was done when she was exiled, yet she was also apparently on Earth for centuries at the same time. A timey-wimey mess.
Wilful ignorance on the part of humanity meant that the presence of huge numbers of demons and vampires passed largely unnoticed.

We see Dreg, Jinx and Murk and unattractive people can vanish into the background easily. Maybe these were the only ones because Glory seems to task them with difficult or impossible assignments and if there were more of them, she would have had some specialists on hand who would be more adept at different things. Also, people in leadership positions usually don't have a crowd of servants, they have a few key people they deal with, but we do not see any hierarchy of subservants below the three we see.

It would be difficult to maintain security and secrecy with more than that and in scenes like when Glory goes to the Magic Box and buys something, she might have been identified by Giles if she had a higher profile. Of course, this is the Jossverse where anything can happen but this "anything" usually goes in the direction of plot armour for some unlikely event.

I thought Hobbit was funny joke, but it doesn't make any sense. Hobbits, are above all else, short. These guys are the same height as Ben. I don't even think the species has a name. Frankly, they look more like Brundleflies with pointy ears.

Now, having said that, if Glory was assisted by some kind of gnomos, oddly dressed short men, kind of like oompas loompas, that would have been hilarious. But casting was probably an issue.

I figured there weren't that many of them, maybe around 20? And probably living underground or wherever Glory was living at the time.

The same could be said for any other demon - how come nobody notices them? It's implied that demons can keep themselves quite well hidden if they don't want to be seen, at least some demons.

Also.....Sunnydale Syndrome.
I guessing myself that Glory hobbots were good at hiding & most of then lived underground since you only saw a few of them until the end . Plus i betting that they had been hiding for centuries before being taken over by Glory.

Weird concept and seriously Off-Topic.
If, as described as Glory's hobbits by NoShip, did Glory's (minions) Hobbits have related, earthly life forms who lived in the shire?
