Glory had stated that she hates everything in our dimension. The people, the clothes, etc. But she looks human, she wears "human clothes", takes baths, drinks Champaign and enjoys things that humans do too.

That got me thinking if the way she looks like and the things she likes and does are the same at her own dimension. Does she wear human body just in our dimension and has a different form in hers? Or is her regular form really how it is, no matter where she is? Maybe it has something to do with Ben?

Hmmmmm, interesting point....
I've wondered before what Glory looked like when she was home. I kinda imagined her as a giant monster kind of deal. I also thought that Glory never really HATED this dimension, she actually quite liked some of the things, like shoes, but wouldn't admit it. I think her human body did have something to do with Ben. Oh, I LOVE that bit in "The Weight of The World" I think it is. Its the bit when Spike is trying to explain the everyone that Ben is Glory and Glory is Ben and they just won't get it and he says "Is everyone here very stoned?" so funny... 🙂

Heh-heh, love that scene.
I never thought about how she looked really I thought she was just enjoying all of these things because they were the only thing she seemed to enjoy in our world. I always took it as she just thought Humans were beneath her.

It would have been interesting to learn more about her and where she came from.

Yes I definitely pictured her when she was in her hell dimension as some sort of big scary monster, or perhaps even almost non existent like the first was.

Glory liked to give the impression that she hates humans, but I think the draw of champagne, nice baths, comfortable fabrics, and pretty shoes was to much for her to shy away from! She would have got home, morphed into a big demon and then been bummed that she couldn't find manolos in a size 5000. Haha, that would have caused a temper tantrum!

Well, Glory's body isn't actually her body, is it? It's Ben's body, and she's trapped inside. I think the people who confined Glory to her fleshy prison didn't think she would ever find a way to be free, but when she realized that she could manifest in Ben, I think the body took on its own form based upon Glory's power rather than her natural appearance.

Glory is beyond powerful in our world, and in our world, what commands power? Yeah, beauty. So Glory's manifestation was a beautiful woman, because GOD, Clare Kramer is nothing if not gorgeous.

As for her natural appearance, I always figured it was like Illyria. We saw he natural state, and she only looks like she does because she's trapped in Fred's body. Same deal.

Glory drinking champagne and shopping, while I don't think she enjoys it, I do think it's the only things she found close enough to pleasure that she could pass it off and pretend she was happy. She had to fit into the real world when she was out doing whatever it was she did, so she needed to fit with people expectations of someone like her, and I think she just got comfortable in that.

Lyri, you are way too smart, will you be the Willow to my Tara? Jk, but only about the sappho love.
Doesn't Giles say something about her being in human form limiting her powers? So this isn't her natural form.

Personally, I've never given it much thought. She died with Ben, so we never got to see it, so I never really cared. I didn't like Glory much anyhow.
