Gnarl freaks me out!

First of all... If Gnarl had clothes on, he would look like Mr. Burns XD

And second: He freaks me out! He is like SUPER-MEGA scary. The whole idea of this Gollum-y creature who eats your skin, while you are alive. It makes me shiver. And he talks to you, and it's all just... The episode made me cry for Willow when she was lying on the ground thinking she was abanoned to die. It was horrible.
 
I agree, Gnarl was one of the few demons that ever seemed genuinely frightening to me, up there with the Gentlemen, the Queller and Der Kindestood.

I don't think his physical appearance is particularly scary but his voice....that's CREEPY!
 
Yeah, like Bluebird said, his appearance wasn't scary...but what he DID...UGH! Eating people alive? Talk about gruesome! And he makes Willow's flaying seem tame...I know I'd rather have an evil witch wave her hand and make it happen than have to watch some demon talk to me in his creepy voice, rip off my flesh and eat it a piece at a time, and slowly kill me while I'm paralyzed and unable to turn away and wow I'm making it sound even more disturbing than it is.

Yep, anyway, he's up there with the Gentlemen, Der Kindestood, and the Queller, and I don't see why people forget him. Still, in my opinion, the scariest demons are the ones that look like giant bugs, just because bugs creep me out beyond belief. I can't even watch Bad Eggs...NGYAHHHH!!!!!

Gnarl had a very creepy way that made him one of the most rememberable demon/monster ever on Buffy.

I totally agree he freaked the crap out of me! I think he would be one of the worst demons to be killed by because you can't do anything to defend yourself and it is not quick it takes a while. AHHHH Creepy!!
 
Yep, one of the creepiest guys ever. He may creep me out even MORE than The Gentlemen!

A very creepy and well done monster of the week indeed, all his talk of gifties and hiding in the shadows, eating people alive etc

Its the same guy that does the Turok Han (wearing the suit/makeup I mean) but he has such a different personality in each monster he plays.

Yeahhh he really, really freaked me out!! I especially remember wathcing it when I was younger and thinking that it was one of the most terrifying things I have ever watched on television!!!
 
Gnarl really creeped me out and watching him eating Willow's skin, just... ewww.
I felt really sorry for Willow in this ep.
