So far not that many Spuffy fans have voted. I'm a bit suspicious of this... Are they are going to swarm at the last minute? Am I being paranoid? Perhaps.

Ok so I voted and I even added my own non-canon ship bahaha. I'm such a hypocrite!!! Of course Bangel is my numero uno don't worry.

All of this thinking in these couple of posts in here these last couple of days really makes me mad that Cordy never really gets her love match and I think for all of her wonderful character development it's really not fair.

OMG yes, it's super unfortunate that she never gets to have a compelling love interest. I say this because Xander to me is not a "compelling love interest" as much as "that annoying guy I dated in high school." I'm telling you though Cordy and Gunn it would've been magic ya'll!

Well first of all, nothing appeals to me in terms of ships when it comes to any Whedon show. Except Zoe and Wash on Firefly but I knew not to ship them because it's a Whedon show.

I just think Cordy/Gunn would be a better fit. Fred/Gunn...the physicist and the street thug with nothing in common but the work. I just don't see what drew them to each other, other than looks. Wesley/Fred...the bookworm and the physicist, with the former having quite a creepy obsession where the girl is concerned. I see Cordy and Gunn as a grown up Cordy/Xander. Gunn would be happy to knock Queen C down a peg or two when she acts all high and mighty. And she would hit him over the head when he starts acting lone wolf/street thug and being an idiot. Except without the hurtful barbs that C/X used to trade, it would be adult sparring matches.

But really I don't care who ends up with or gets together with who.

I think Gunn/Anne would be a better fit. They've both been on the streets, Gunn has a protective nature, Anne seems to want someone to look after her, they're both in LA.

Well you know different folks different strokes but my sell on them is basically what I saw in First Impressions had some great potential.

I love that Gunn and Cordy have extremely different backgrounds and that could be something they play off each other. Cordy lead the life of an entitled brat for most of her life was just recently served a big slice of humble pie. She is by Season 2 on a much better trajectory but she is still young and I think a Gunn character could really open her up to the plight of people like him who had very difficult upbringings. That dynamic could make Cordelia a much more caring and compassionate character through the natural progression of being exposed to things she may not have been exposed to before and MAYBE they would even be able to sell me on the Saint!Cordy track had that been the trajectory taken.

Gunn in the early seasons is extremely protective of himself and doesn't want to show any vulnerability. Cordy is great at breaking through those kinds of barriers. I think she could really get through to him and show him that some vulnerability is not weakness. Overall, I like that Gunn would not take Cordy's shit. I think Angel gives in too much to Cordy and I always find it annoying. Gunn and Cordy would have an interesting dynamic in that Gunn would call her out if she was nagging or being spoiled and Cordy would call Gunn out if he was letting his ego get the best of him. I think Cordy would have been great for Gunn in AtS season 5 when he was getting lost in the knowledge/power the Senior Partners had given him.

And then at the end of the day, I think Cordy is pretty and Gunn is hott and I think that they LOOK good together 🙂. Therefore I ship it.

I would've loved to see a scene where Cordy and Kennedy interact and Cordy takes Kennedy down a peg and puts her in her place. That would've made Season 7 slightly better.
