Its the way they do things... Buffy is a popular show advertisers are gonna want their piece of the action...

Although people watching this week will notice a big continuity error within Buffy concidering last weeks ep of Angel 🙁

There are usually five commercial breaks, and the first one is usually only five minutes into the programme, so you get the "previously on buffy the vampire slayer", then the teaser, then titles then about 60 seconds of the programme, then a break. It's really annoying! And they have this habit of putting a break right in the middle of a fight sequence. WHY!?

i get nuf annoyed wi that and the breaks last for bout 5minutes so i turn it other n watch Mtv n then usually when i turn it bck it wil be in th programme!

But it's what the black outs are for... they put those lil segments in the episodes so the ads can go there... but ohhh no it doesn't work like that 😀

Try watching tv in america, only place worse is australia (maybe spain too). However adverts make money for tv companies who then make wonderful shows like buffy and 24, i personally buy the dvds or videos and watch them add free, i just spent the last 2 days watching 24.
My eyes hurt.

Um...I just record it and then fast forward through the breaks. It takes anywhere between 3 to 5 seconds to fast forward each break...

I've started cutting out the breaks too. Sky One are sooo anoying putting 15 minutes of commercials on in the breaks. You wait at the end of the Simpsons for 3 minutes then Buffy starts, you get only about 10 minutes in and then its a break and it takes up more space on your tapes to record it. I watch the S7 episodes on Sky and then about a year later I record them on the BBC at 12.00. (No cut eps and only 45-50 minutes of Buffy)

"When I record them I cut out the breaks!!!"

Yes but this thread was about someone complaining about having to sit through the breaks - you still have to sit through them in order to cut them out! I'm saying I record them then watch them later, fast forwarding through breaks as they come. That way I never have to sit through any breaks.

Oh rite, I get ya sorry but when breaks are on I end up doing sumthing so I dont sit through them!!!

Does nobody else see the importance of breaks? they make money for the companies who make us happy. And gives me time to make a cup of tea.
