God, I'm Confused!

I hate Time of Your Life. Half the things they talk about don't make sense, the dialogue is horrible, and I can't tell which character is which.
HOWEVER, it is Buffy AND Fray AND Season 8, so I gotta read it. Could someone just give me like a brief summary of the first three issues of ToYL.

I feel really bad for saying this stuff about Whedon, but I just have to express my opinions. Did you read Pt. 3?
"Summers, you drive like a spaz."
"Well, that phrase stood the test of time."

^ Seriously? It's like he couldn't think of anything else. That quote (to me) rides up there with: "When I look at you I want to die."

EDIT: And what is up with the Buffy's dress?!?
