I've been thinking more about this and have more thoughts.
Firstly, you're absolutely right about knitting and crocheting. Like half my coworkers do it when it's slow at work. Those who do, they're mostly in their 20s.
As for wearing leggings under dresses and skirts - that could be for two reasons, 1. it's warm to layer or 2. it's actually a fashion thing that was common in the 80s and 90s. And as a vintage reseller, I can tell you the demand for 90s clothing is really high with Gen Z - they love it! I don't honestly think it has to do with modesty. I think it's more about comfort and fashion. I also see younger people wearing a lot of baggy clothing like we did growing up in the 90s.
As for alcohol, yeah it's definitely true that younger people are drinking less than generations before. Of course this is a good thing, but I'm not sure why. Perhaps they are more interested in health and wellness than previous generations? Or maybe it's a financial thing? Either way, I think it's great.
