Hello boys and girls. Due to recent events I am on medication and am not meant to leave the house for a while. My sister rents my spare room and is at work, my mate the doctor is only here at nights and I have pretty much got all of my affairs in order. As I'm freshly single this whole time to myself thing is alien to me, whenever I split up with someone I always have a new girlfriend within a week or so and friends about to keep me entertained.

However I am currently not permitted to see my friends from work, and as I only moved here recently don't really know many other people that are not busy with families & jobs etc. So what can I do? The sun is shining and normally I'd take this opportunity to go down the beach and buy the honeys an Ice Cream. Can't go out.

I haven't played my PS3 properly in years and have lost all enthusiasm for gaming.
I'm up to date with the latest episodes of Chuck.
I've had plenty of wanks.
I've already made some interesting creative sandwiches.
Can't do any work.
Nothing good is ever on TV during the day.
BB is very quiet and the Internet is repetitive.
I've cleaned my flat so it's all shiny.
Rewired all of my electrical gear (for no reason).
Tried to watch Veronica Mars but can't after the awful 1st episode.
Have seen all of my Blu Rays.
Recently rewatched every Whedon series.
Attempted to figure out Twitter.

This is just boring, I'm not a do nothing type of person and I'm going mad sat by myself!

When similarly housebound, what do you do keep yourselves entertained?

OH SHIT THIS IS ONLY MY FIRST AFTERNOON. HELLLP MEEEE 😱

Got any good books on hand?
A whole bookshelf full! I've read them all many times though 🙁

OHHH OHH OHH I did recently buy an iPad for reading though so can pretty much download any book I'm recommended! Give me some hints man, I like Autobiographies best 🙂

Make a research. Pick any year and watch all the movies who seem interesting that were released that year. Or watch anybody you like's whole fimography.
Or, something that never fails to occupy me a bit: go to a Omegle, it's a random chat. Even tough most people are not very original and start the conversation with "asl", it's sometimes interesting. And if I only run into people saying asl, I copy/paste a sentence like "I'm Darth Vador" or "I'm a princess!" just to see what people have to say.

That's pretty much all I can think about. That and
"Wank some more then"
, but you can't do that all day long I guess.

You can do it for a significant portion of the day.

I need to complete my Kubrick watching, nice plan!

Haaha, I swear, sometimes there are interesting people :D
Oh I forgot! The times I got the flu, I spent my whole days here on the board, looking at old thread on episode or character or The bronze and replying to them. Most of the time I just don't have the time so I reply to the newest stuff, in the unread section, but when I'm bored, I discover so manyyyyyy old threads!

I prefer to make new threads ;)
When I'm at home with nothing to do, I find a new TV series to watch.
Tonight we're watching an old TV series. Well, a 2004 TV series that is parodying an 80's TV series. I saw it when it first came out and found it hilarious, it's called Darkplace and basically takes the piss out of Twin Peaks and loads of 80's movies/TV shows. It's intentionally bad- think out of sync talking, poor cuts, cardboard sets etc and rubber monsters that make Buffy's 'loan shark' look excellent. It's made by the same guys that made the IT Crowd and features a lot of the same actors.. it's one of the funniest comedies I've seen (almost better then Spaced season 2) and the intentional bad acting etc is so funny. There are only six episodes, too. Here's an awful quality clip:

Everyone should watch Darkplace 🙂

ah, I love these guys!
Well, if you didn't like the first episode of Veronica Mars, I don't know if you'll like the rest (I was into it since the first episode).

Does this make you want to watch the show?
Kristen Bell is like the highlight of the serie!

(Sorry for the off-topic 😎)

VM Love.
I'm coming up empty. I was going say reading a book if you like to read.😀 I've actually been reading more than I'm watching all the shows that I watch! So I'm always a few episodes on my shows.

I always seem to know what to do to keep myself busy.

I love reading, oh Abbeycat you sound like a woman after my own heart.
Thanks for your words chicos, you have been fairly inspiring. I think the problem may be that my meds reduce my concentration, hence not being able to get into anything.

I might just play with some balls.

EDIT: I meant coloured balls in reference to my brain seemingly melting away and myself regressing back to a child like state, not anything about testicles.

EDIT 2: Although lots of young kids do play with themselves like that when exploring things it's not what I was getting at.

OOOH I miss my ball! My dad bought me a ball and I left it at his house when I left. It's on my list of things to bring over here tomorrow.

When im bored I do the following;

IRC
Words with Friends or any type of gaming
Jigsaw puzzles
Go through my wardrobe and discover new clothes and throw out the crap ones.
Read

The other thing you could do is become an expert on something completely random. I'm thinking along the lines of a certain architect, person from history or type of beer.

Or you could build a cubby house. Those things are amazing.

Bake something from scratch like homemade bread.

Put your phone on private and prank call people.

Nice suggestions! I used to love building 'bases' in my bedroom when I was a wee nipper.
Well, for one thing dear Christopher even in light of your recent tragedies you can make a girl laugh. 😉 I can't believe what happened to you and that you were able to share it with so many of us here. I really couldn't believe it and now I don't have to! Its a miracle. You're ALIVE and we're so happy you're here. Now what would you do without Buffy Boards, especially in your confined condition? 😉

I recommend giving Veronica Mars another chance! It really gets good halfway into the first season and all of the second season! Plus, she's a hot blonde chick, right? ha ha Anywho, glad your still apart of the land of the living. I'm sure you'll figure out something to get you through....and its good to hear you're taking time to focus on yourself because sometimes that's all you can really do! Yay and welcome back! 😀

Thankyou, you're adorable!
You could always play around with GIMP. I do that whenever I'm around the house and have nothing better to do or just waiting for time to pass before I have to go to work. It's alot of fun and real easy to learn how to use if you don't know already 🙂

I know you mean the program GIMP but it sounds too much like actual gimps for me to risk it.
If you have the game jenga, you can stack the blocks and see how high you can make your tower, and then indulge your inner child and smash it to bits!

I like to bead and crochet when i'm bored too.

As far as books, an amusing one I like that you may have not heard of is indian killer by taikike (sp?) Alfred. It's not the absolute best book (has some parts I disagree with) but overall it's pretty good and will keep you entertained. He also wrote the screen play I believe for a movie called smoke signals which is pretty good. I've been reading through the classics lately (thank you amazon for the free books on my kindle on my phone) and just read sherlock holmes and dracula (both good) and am now reading uncle tom's cabin....I'll try to think of more books you perhaps haver not heard of.....

If you were a girl (or just into it) I'd suggest painting your nails and playing with makeup, but don't know how much you'd enjoy that!
