Going Through the Check Book Losing All My Funds

I'm still wondering where in the heck are Buffy and her cohorts getting the money to pay for all this stuff that they have. Granted I understand Buffy isn't so much based in reality as technology on Buffy is much greater than real life with robots and stuff, but even in Season Six she had to deal with bills and paying mortgage and stuff, which I believe Xander took care of in Season Seven. However, now in Season Eight they live in a giant castle in Scotland, which I doubt was just abandoned or whatever and they have this massive computer and communications system, of course they have to eat, I'm sure they buy clothing, and also they do travel around alot with the comics being basically on a global scale instead of basically one location with slayers in Rome, Italy, Scotland, and Faith being in Cleveland with other slayers, and Giles and his slayers. So that's like 1500 slayers and apprentice witches, and the Scobby Gang that's gotta cost money.

At least on Angel they explained where Angel was getting the money from when in Season Two Angel took that boat load of cash that he hid back in the 50s that was still there and plus he also charged for his Angel Investigations services AND I'm sure he saved some money from his paychecks at Wolfram & Hart. But I think I'm rambling now so I'm done

I'm assuming this will be dealt with officially but I guess that Giles was responsible for getting the money together. It's possible that there was a great deal of money set aside by the Council in the event of the destruction of their headquarters and that Giles was able to use that to rebuild. Makes sense that they would not leave something like that to chance, given how long they have been around.

I was actually thinking about the same thing! and don't forget all the new slayer gear, plus the feeding of loads of Potentials AND a giant! (who also needs super-sized clothes which I'm guessing are a work of magic)

It's quite possible that the Council owned the Scottish castle and had for some time. In the "Buffy" Season 7 episode in which the Council building was blown up, it was mentioned that they had a "tactical" division, and the castle could very well have been their headquarters and training facility. With the funds that the Council was always hinted at that they had available, a set up like that isn't too hard to imagine.

Most of the watchers came from well off familes. What if the WC was like Skull & Bones. Where rich familes send there kids to study mystical arts and such.
