Gone, But Not Forgotten

The death of Carrie Fisher got me to thinking about all of the great actors whose work I have enjoyed over the years, who have, regrettably, left us now. Names like John Wayne, Roy Rogers, Charlton Heston, Bob Hope, Leonard Nimoy, Elvis, and all those other irreplaceable personal favorites.

So, who are your favorite actors/entertainers who have gone to that great casting call in the sky?

The hardest celebrity loss for me was Cory Monteith who died in 2013. He wasn't that well known and didn't have a big body of work but I was such a big fan of him both as an actor and a celebrity. He just had that amazing presence and his story was so inspiring. His death really devastated me, more than I thought a celebrity's death ever could.

I was also very sad when Robin Williams died.

Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds's deaths are really sad as well, the whole thing is horrible. Poor family.

I was heartbroken when Robin Williams died. I grew up knowing him to be this amazingly funny man. I loved his movies. I watched them on repeat, especially Aladdin. I can still quote pretty much that whole script. That alone was enough to make me so incredible sad when he died, but then also knowing he suffered from severe depression, something he had fought for a long time, it made me even sadder. He must have been so desperate, to take his own life. This man that made me laugh all the time, was suffering so terribly inside.

It's honestly enough to make me tear up right now just thinking of it.

David Bowie passing was pretty upsetting and surreal. I watched the Lazarus music video only once, I couldn't bear to watch it again.

John Polito and Ron Glass too.

Other than 2016, the ones that have affected me most over the years are James Gandolfini, Adam Yauch, Brittany Murphy, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Winehouse, Rik Mayall and Lou Reed.

David Bowie passing was pretty upsetting and surreal.

Probably because he hid his Cancer form the media for 18 months, along with releasing a new album 2 days before he died...

His death really devastated me, more than I thought a celebrity's death ever could

I remember when he died, he has just gotten out of rehab so I was shocked to say the least.

For a long time, I thought that I killed him because I hated on Finn Hudson.
