I think this is an example of a good cover.
Not that I prefer this version over original in any way... just want to make that clear. 🙂

But it's awesome when you take a song and change it completely.
Make it sounds like one of your own songs I guess. That's how a cover should be done imho.

I was browsing my Facebook the other day and one of my friends posted a link to this YouTuber. He did a really nice cover of Ron Pope's "A Drop in the Ocean", I thought 🙂:

I'm not a huge fan of covers. The only one I can think of that I really love is Aerosmith's cover of "come together" by the beatles. I'll let you google the video as I'm too lazy and can't ever get youtube to work properly on my phone.
