Good things about s7

Okay, I just realised how unfair I've been... considering I've written well over 500 words on the things that could have been better in season seven, and only 6 words on this thread... there are some good things about season seven that other people haven't mentioned yet. I do apologise for writing 'caleb and anya. that is all.' Wasn't really within the spirit of the thread.

-Great new characters. Principal Wood, Cassie Newton, and okay, shoot me, but I actually quite liked some of the potentials. Chloe and Molly, shame they died, but even Kennedy and oh boy, I actually liked Rona. They had there own voice, and I loved that Rona didn't give in to the whole 'your a potential for a reason' crap. Kennedy was -amazing-. She had a spirit, not a slayer spirit, or even a warrior spirit, but her own knowledge of herself was quite inspiring, for me.

-They really upped the volume on fight scenes. I loved in Bring On The Night, the confrontation between the ubervamp and Buffy- seriously, the moves that the Ubervamp had, were the best I've ever seen. The vineyard scene at the end of Dirty Girls was so clear in its action, I loved seeing the potentials tackle on the bringers. It really improved

-They kept the trio. Yeah, yeah I know most people hate them but Tom Lenk, Danny Strong and Adam Busch are fantastic actors. Acting was never a strong point for BTVS, so keeping three great actors was a smart move. I loved Storyteller coz of this.

-Dirty Girls, Conversations With Dead People and Selfless would definately make my best buffy episodes list

-Loved seeing Juliet Landau again, even if half the time, she was the first. She's a terrific actress and Drusilla is one of my favourite characters.

I love Kennedy!
I really like the first 8 episodes of the season. I still enjoy the rest, but not as much (with the exclusion of Storyteller, which I love).

Likewise!! Storyteller is the only episode from the latter half of the season that I have watched repeatedly.

I think I need to watch season 7 again properly from start to finish (and not just stop watching it after "Him"). I'm sure I will find a lot of good points that I had forgotten about.

My favorite moments in Season 7 had to be the moments where they referenced prior Season moments and even settled a few things. Like when Buffy brings up 'Willow's Message' to her from Xander about kicking Angel's Ass when she had to Kill Angel. And Willow finally being able to stop and say "I never said that!"

There are a lot of little references like that in season 7 which I appreciated as a long time fan of the show.
